Just read a review from Friday evening. What utter garbage. I was in this pub, my local on Friday and both members of staff have plenty experience in the pub trade. Can I suggest to the compliant that there were two she could have taken before review on here.
Brilliant bar with extensive range of real ales and bespoke lagers. Visited on a Friday lunch but no food/kitchen. Not a problem. The staff said we were welcome to buy food from local takeaways. We chose chips and chicken and mushroom pie from next door with extra portions for the staff. Pity we only had 45 minutes before catching the steam train back as we would have stayed longer. Locals that were in were friendly too. A revisit is definitely on the cards next time we are in the area....
