We had rang and booked a table the week before for 42 people(adults and children) for Sunday 8th. Naomi took our booking and didn't seem phased at all about the amount of people going. Didn't think no more of it, turned up on the day and wow what can we say….. Tables were all laid out nicely so we were all together but not sat on each other laps, cutlery, crackers and everything we needed already on the table. Ordered our meals(we all had carvery) everything was so fresh, the meat just melted in your mouth, they wasn't tight with the meat. My husbad even like the fact they had mash potato, this was also great for the 8 months old baby. Naomi checked everything was ok when we were eating, once we finished plates were taken away, they wasn't stood at the table waiting to whip them away it was nice timing. Puddings well who doesn't like a good pudding, regardless who much you eat from a carvery there is always room for a pudding, I had fudge cake and it was stop on, my son had trifle cheesecake and he said its one of the best he has ever had (he is a fussy one) ..To cut a long story short… FAB FOOD, GREAT FRIENDLY WELCOMING ATMOSPHERE would definitely recommend and we will most definitely be going back again not only as a party but also in just our family.Thank you to all staff at The Loom and Shuttle...
Read moreDreadful. Visited on evening of bank holiday there was one staff member behind the bar . Ordered food and waited...and waited ..and waited some more meantime a party of six locals who arrived after us were served their meal . After 30 minutes my wife enquired about the food as we had 110 mile journey home and wanted to get moving she was informed it was "in hand but there's only one chef working" . After 40 minutes still not even a hint of a starter so we asked for our money back . There was an ant on the table and several dead flies in the lampshade on the windowsill beside us (table 4) . I asked the woman behind the bar for Marstons contact details to complain she replied " I dont have them you will have to find them online" and informed me the staff shortage "wasn't her fault ". Well that''s as maybe but it definitely wasn't my fault either and I wont be going back . There is however a KFC a few hundred yards down the road where we ate for half the price in a quarter of the time and...
Read moreSunday night carvery 18.00 hours . We turned up on time' myself, wife daughter 5 years old son 1 year old and my step daughter and boyfriend in their 20s. Walk in and it was like a night club. My daughter had to cover her ears as it was so loud my wife asked for the music to be turned down witch the staff member did. We had to ask for a highchair as we weren't offered one despite clearly having a young child with us . The staff member then brought us one ' WITCH WAS COVERED IN FOOD WITH A DIRTY TISSUE STUCK ON THE BOTTOM clearly it hadn't been wiped down after it was last used the manager then came and asked if we where the 6 o'clock booking' with I said we were. He offered no apology or explanation to the disgusting high chair nor the fact the atmosphere was most definitely not family friendly, it was our first a definitely last time ever visiting the loom and shuttle.... I'd say great crack for a Sunday night karaoke 🎤 but not a clean or welcoming for a...
