Canterbury Deli & Catering — Restaurant in Aberdeen Township

First time here, and super not impressed. Ended up being sorry we had bothered to try it. The sandwiches had almost no meat on them. Said it came with chips, and I think we each got 5 potato chips on our plate. I've never ordered a sandwich that had chicken on it and had a hard time even finding the chicken. It was all ground up into tiny little shreds and drowned in sauce masked with a lot of lettuce. $30 for 2 people to have a couple of sandwiches, and didn't even order drinks. Came with soup, which was homemade, but also was supposed to be chicken soup and couldn't find the chicken. And honestly really didn't even want a side but you were forced to choose a side, and for those prices I wasn't going to have nothing. I have honestly had better sandwiches from Jimmy John's for less money, and got a huge sandwich with lots of stuff on it, pop, and a side. The owner? was very nice, but the food was not good and way too expensive. The dining room was also uncomfortably hot, and there were strange desserts just sort of sitting out on the side table, not covered...were those for selecting to eat? Or just display? There was more than one of each item so I dont think they were for display. Some were in Styrofoam but others just in bowls, uncovered, with the front door wide open and several flies around. This is a very good place to eat at the lady. She makes her own dishes in there the sandwiches soups everything is all homemade prices are very reasonable my friend and I when we going to eat a lot of times we split the sandwiches because they are big for us to eat. She has a freezer full of food that you can buy and take home. Like lasagna manicotti stuff like that she makes her own homemade desserts, so please give it a try because you will be pleased.
