My husband and I visited Three22 for a lunch date, looking forward to a nice meal together. I ordered a gluten-free pizza, and he got a burger. When our food arrived, my pizza was noticeably undercooked. I asked our server if it could be put back in the oven for a bit longer. She brought over a “manager” named Abby, who took the pizza back to the kitchen.
After some time, Abby returned to inform me they needed to remake the pizza since I’d already touched it. That was fine—I completely understood. However, when she brought the replacement pizza to our table, she immediately commented that the first pizza had been “perfectly fine,” saying, “we all” looked at it and it was cooked properly. I mentioned that I’d received an undercooked pizza here once before (about a year ago) but hadn’t had any issues since. Abby’s response turned shockingly unprofessional. She became visibly upset, rolled her eyes, and sharply stated, “It just wasn’t cooked to your liking, which is not my fault. Next time, order it well-done.” Her attitude made my husband and me feel incredibly uncomfortable.
As we were asking for our check to wrap things up, Abby came back, raising her voice and accusing me of being rude to her and her staff—a completely baffling accusation, as I had remained polite and hadn’t even left my seat. When I requested to speak to the manager, Jacob, she became even more confrontational, positioning herself in a way that blocked my view of him and insisting, “No, you’re speaking to me. I’m just like him.” She continued talking over me, making it impossible to voice my concerns to Jacob even when he came to our table.
The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. Since then, I’ve heard from several others about similar negative experiences with Abby. It seems her behavior is a pattern, and unfortunately, nothing is being done to address it.
We won’t be returning, and if you’d prefer a peaceful dining experience without the risk of encountering an unprofessional and volatile manager, I’d strongly recommend choosing...
Read moreAmbience is super cute…Food is awesome…But service does not match the eats and the atmosphere.
For example, came in on late Friday night so the dinner rush hour had died down and it wasn’t even that busy. The table we were seated at was dirty with crumbs and drink stains all over and when I asked, “Whenever you have time can we please get a wipe down of our table?” Our server seemed very annoyed and walked away as she muttered “Sure” ……… Our table was never wiped down thru out our entire visit. The server did seem to be more chipper at the end of our meal but likely because it was near closing time. Another time we visited: our server forgot items we ordered, we had to go to the bar to get drinks because our server hardly came back to visit with us, and we had to constantly remind them of things forgotten. I’ve been here four times since they’ve opened and 3 out of 4 had subpar service which to me makes this place a bit pretentious. And I get it, help is hard to find around here and I understand things happen during a work shift that are out of our control. But the attitudes of these servers were 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Either way, it’s one of the few restaurants in Aberdeen that is actually trying with a delicious and diverse menu of food and cocktails so I’ll give it that!
So of the 4 visits one was super great… which leads me to leave this tip here: sit at the bar if you want...
Read moreThis Sunday, I ordered the Breakfast Burger. It said it came with 2 smashed burger patties, a fried egg, bacon, and cheese and it came with a side of breakfast potatoes. I must say when it was dropped off, it made my mouth water. I'll start with the great parts of the burger. Omg, the bacon was not wimpy thin strips of bacon. It was thick and delicious. The cheese was melty and gooey. Now the downside. The egg yoke was hard. One of the best parts of a breakfast burger is that oozing yoke when you bite into it. Next and maybe the most disappointing were the burger patties. Smashed burgers should be handpattied and smashed on a hot griddle. This gives them their distinct crusty outside and juicy interior. What I was eating, to me, appeared to be 2 McDonald's regular hamburger patties, frozen pre-made, that had no texture to them except mush. Now on to the "breakfast potatoes" which were not breakfast potatoes. Any place I've had breakfast potatoes they were cubed potatoes that are seasoned and fried. These were whole baby potatoes that were seasoned and fried. The reason most places cube them is for consistency in cooking. 3 of the larger potatoes were still crunchy (raw) inside. I was excited when my food first arrived however the meal ended up being a...
