The Rock — Restaurant in Aberdeen Township

I was nearby with my family and craving seafood. Three members that were with me wanted lobster as well but one family member dosen’t eat seafood therefore, after checking the menu online, we saw they had a few non seafood options so we wanted to give it a try. The location is very bland with no signs and if your gps dosen’t tell you the location you would probably miss it…. Its a big black building with plenty of parking with no signs whatsoever… Upon walking in, you felt like you were in a biker meeting. A lot of men, and they were all staring which made me a little uncomfortable. The owner is the chef and walks back and forth a few times with a butcher apron on asking about your service which was very nice of him. Our server was good as well. The server was the skinny bald gentleman (sorry don’t know your name) my only complaint is me and another person in my group got drinks which were 2 mixed cocktails and it was literally $15 per drink! The drink prices were outrageous for the location. Its not a fancy steakhouse… Not only it was expensive, it was very watered down to the point it felt like i was drinking syrup and let me remind you it was a double shot! Lol Also my wife ordered the Chicken penne pasta and she literally took 3-4 bites and didn’t eat the rest. The pasta was served lukewarm and the sauce was watered down and tasted very bland. You could tell then food was microwaved and a few days old. My lobster dinner was good but came with kids size fries and nothing else on the side. Coleslaw or a nice salad on the side would of been good. I probably won’t stop by again and if you want to eat seafood its a hit or miss. I definitely recommend other spots especially after...

So I have been a customer of the Blue Rock for 15 plus years and all of them years I've always had great service ,good company and good bartenders and hostesses.

I guess you could say I'm a frequent flyer at this bar 5 + times a month I'll go have a beer and some food, so for the last I would say four times in a row I notice the food and the service has gotten so bad it's just really sad . I will start with about a week and a half ago when I went I sat outside at a table it took 15 minutes to get a beer after telling the bartender, I ordered a burger and fries it took 40 minutes to get this meal . So today is the reason I'm posting this, I sat at the bar with my girlfriend we sat there for 13 minutes while for bartenders / hostesses walked by and didn't even acknowledge us, did not ask us if we wanted something to drink or a menu just walked by numerous times without saying a word this is a sad sad event. So we left and went to another bar in the area.

I hope whoever runs this place gets their stuff together because it used to be a really great place to go not So Much Anymore especially if you want a beer and food in a prompt...

Hi My name is Richard O'Hagan. I am a Disabled Police Officer and also a Veteran. I traveled up from Long beach island to visit high school friends. They suggested this place for drinks and a meal. We had a very nice time at the restaurant until the band showed up and was setting up. I have a Service Dog and the owner or manager came over to us. mind you we had been there for a few hours. and in a raised voice Yelled at us about my Service Dog?! Gaining the attention of other customers. He then refused any of my Identification for her told me she wasn't a service dog and threw us out of the bar. She wasn't making noise or creating a problem. She was just laying under the table. (Quietly) I am quite aware of my rights and what my dogs requirements are. He would not listen to anything i said.
