Where do I begin... when the diner first reopened I was pleasantly surprised, the food was great and service was pleasant. I have noticed the last few times that I went they seem to be slipping back to the old ways food was not as good. Well last night for me takes the cake and I can assure you I will never return. I went there for dinner last night with my son and daughter in law, I ordered the pork chop dinner special. The waitress served me my soup and salad which was fine, she then returned with my dinner which consisted of 3 pork chops, baked potato and corn. As I started to eat the pork chops I realized they had a funny taste but at this point having eaten 1 whole chop my son started questioning what the horrible smell at the table was. Than a family of 5 seated in the next row also started complaining about the smell. Well to my surprise it was my plate that smelled rancid. I immediately called the waitress over and she said omg that smells terrible grab my plate and went to the owner. Well he never came over to address us at all, the waitress told us they removed the item off my bill. Well upon leaving the diner the owner did apologize and admitted to me that some of the meat in the box was SPOILED. Seriously having known this you still chose to cook it and serve it. If we could smell it and other tables could smell it. Please tell me how your cook could not tell he was cooking BAD pork and the waitress that served it couldn’t smell it. As a restaurant owner in good conscience how to do serve BAD meat to customers and expect an apology to make it right. Do you not realize how sick a person can get from eating bad pork. Not only should it have been taken off the bill but the whole table should have not have been charged You seriously need a visit from the health Dept
In response to the owners response of a complete fake review. There were 2 other people in my party that can attest to this situation as well as a table of 5 who also witnessed this. So be careful who you accuse of lying and posting false reviews. You should be ashamed of...
Read moreMe and my cousin went here a while ago and had a great experience with pretty good food. That experience was worth 4 stars. I don’t know what happened between then and now. We met up with a few family members there this weekend and it wasn’t even busy. First off the waitress was very sweet and wonderful and admitted that she was still training, so I am blaming most of the bad service on the kitchen staff who messed up orders. They were fast to be done with some food while with other food not so fast. While the rest of my family was almost done their salads and soup me and my father were just getting served ours. Me and my cousin split two appetizers of the onion petals and the buffalo chicken street fries. The onion petals were pretty good, the street fries were in between. Not bad but not good. Then the main courses came out. Or as I should say, everyone’s main course but mine. I sat and waited and waited. One of the people in our party got served a BLT, but the toasted bread was overdone/burned and instead of mayo got served sour cream. Some of the sides were just very bland. One of our party members was just served the wrong dish completely. Finally after waiting about 15 minutes for my dish after everyone else got served I asked the waitress to please either take my main course off the menu or if it’s done just to pack it up. She seemed very apologetic and admitted that when she was getting the dishes out for everyone else mine was done, but one of the other waitresses came and picked it up for one of her tables so they needed to make another one for me. Finally we got dessert and honestly I’ve made better cake out of a box. My parents said their pudding was good, but overall it was a disappointing night. Luckily our bill was discounted out of courtesy, and everyone seemed apologetic. I would just steer clear...
Read moreWe bring the kids here often. Never had any issues. Today my wife and I had some salads that had shredded Cheddar cheese on them. When we started eating the food my wife said the cheese tasted moldy. After checking the cheese we found multiple pieces with green spots growing on the ends. Not the end of the world, it happens. We showed the waiter and manager. They came back to the table with the salads and said it’s not mold. It’s “seasoning”. I showed them that the green stuff in the orange colored cheese doesn’t come off. The cheese is green. They argued and said no, it’s not mold.
Normally a restaurant would apologize and ask if there is anything else we can get you. Instead they argued and questioned our intelligence. If it tastes like mold and it looks like mold….. ITS MOLD…….. We will not be coming back to this diner. They will serve mold and tell you it’s “Seasoning “ ..
Response to Owner* Yes it’s normal for cheese to grow mold ! We have never sent back food for MOLD before your restaurant. We had no problem paying. The problem was you’re arguing that it’s not mold. My Wife didn’t have the dressing on her salad. She was dipping the lettuce in the dressing cup. So you can’t say the green on the cheese is from the dressing. You are just arguing to make yourself look good. You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treat customers. And ashamed that you put out moldy food and argue that it’s not mold. I don’t know how you stay in business with your Management and people skills. Shame shame shame on you.
If it’s TASTES LIKE MOLD AND IT LOOKS LIKE MOLD, IT...
