Buyer beware When ordering online delivery from this Dennys.
They will not refund you for missing items or meals ordered and paid for online.
They will not eat the cost and send out another driver to bring you the missing items or meal that the staff who packed the to-go bag failed to include.
They will give you two options.
#1 You eat the cost of gas, delivery fees, tip, and pick it up yourself. If you have a vehicle. OR If you do not have a vehicle a common reason why customers order delivery. #2 In order to get the item or meal Denny's failed to deliver, you have to purchase another item or meal from Dennys online first and pay for delivery, and "tip that driver unless you're a jerk". Before Dennys will make it right.
As if you want to continue to support a business who continues to rip off their customers and leaves them with nothing to eat.
There is no manager on location to speak to, to help get this issue resolved. The staff I spoke with also had no contact information for customers to reach out to the owner, to again resolve this.
Human error happens, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is the higher ups at Dennys has not resolved this issue in all these years. An when their staff errors Dennys has continued to put it on the customers to pay or go without for their employees error.
All I want is to fix this, and see that customers are reimbursed. To me simply telling customers "I'm sorry" after you've ripped them off, left them hungry, and ruined their day is unacceptable.
This has been an on-going issue with this Dennys since they started online delivery. An after all these years it still hasn't been resolved it leads me to wonder if they're intentionally stealing from customers who order online delivery, that we are victims of theft.
So if this has happened to you, and you too feel it is wrong to only make this right after you make another online purchase or eat the $10 + cost you paid in delivery fees, tip, gas & time and have brushed it off an given them years to work out the kinks, and now want to sue because you are tired of being a victim, reach out. Power to the...
Read moreI gave this restaurant 1 star, because I am unable to give less than that. On 9/28/19 four of us were having breakfast at this restaurant. We were seated, and we asked for three glasses of water and one soda. When the waitress returned she promptly dumped all three glasses of water on one of my guests. There was water all over the table and the young woman was soaked. The waitress left, we assumed to bring towels. She eventually brought back a towel for the table, and nothing for my guest. The hostess then rushed to the back, we assumed for a towel, but returned with the "Slippy Floor", cone, so as to protect the restaurant's liability ...... Our waitress did not come back to our table for several more minutes, passing us by at least three times. We asked the hostess for some additional napkins, and she brought us 3 whole napkins. One waitress who was not even involved, did apologize to us, in passing. When our waitress did return to take our order, no mention was made of the blunder, and no compensation was offered. We had our meal delivered in literally, three shifts. Not one of us received our complete order of food at one time. When the bill arrived, there was no compensation of any sort. We had to plead, for some sort of compensation for the fact that this woman was completely soaked. The manager finally gave permission to remove the least expensive item on the bill, not even this particular young woman's meal. The manager never approached our table, never offered compensation, never apologized, and she rolled her eyes at me when we tried to use our nationally recognized AARP discount. She stated "the computer only allows us to give one discount per check". That is when the young woman finally spoke up and said, "what you gave us was not a discount, is was to make up for me having water thrown on me". We were very disappointed with the service of our meals, inattentiveness of our waitress and mostly the blatant dismissal of the entire situation, by the restaurant manager. You can be assured, we will not be back, and we will not be their best form of advertising...
Read moreTonight, my husband and I went on our first date in a long while. We came into this location at around 5:08 Pm. We got a table, the waitress came out and took our drink order, waited for us to decide on our meal before taking our order. We sat and waited. An hour went by, our food still hadn't showed up. We waited a bit longer and that hour turned into two and a half hours. We were about to leave, when the waitress, who was talking, chatting and giggling with her friends for the last two hours of us waiting, came up to us and said "I am so sorry. I took your order when you came in, and forgot to place it for them to fill." My husband and I were both real frustrated and angry by this point for having waited two almost three hours just to receive our meal. Needless to say, my husband asked if we would be compensated for having to wait that long for our meal. They gave us a 10% discount which didn't do much to compensate at all. Not to mention when she finally gave the cook our order, she said loud enough for my husband to hear, "make sure its done right. It's not you that I am asking for I am asking because they were snappy at me. The staff tonight were all very unprofessional and acting childish in my opinion. Not to mention our waitress also broke a plate and cursed right in front of a family and their small children. Someone in back told her to watch her language that there was children present. I and my husband also heard the cook or manager say to one of the employees to get cleaned up and go have a puff meaning obviously smoking pot. I am very disappointed with this location and the unprofessionalism of the staff. I and my husband will not be eating here again. Thanks Denny's for having a school of incompetent workers who don't know how to handle orders and bills for people who come in. What a joke. No wonder y'all are losing ratings. Be lucky we paid for our meal tonight. Because believe me with the time you made us wait, we...
