Aberdeen Timberland Library — Attraction in Aberdeen

Please do something about the homeless, or at least monitor them. Adult men using the children’s area bathroom for doing drugs in there is not appropriate. The last time we came here someone was smoking drugs in the large bathroom, it smelled horrible, and my kids had to breathe that air. Homeless doing drugs in the library, lounging around, and being a potential threat to my family is not appropriate. Yes there are good homeless people. However the majority of them have drug problems and a criminal history, and you don’t know what criminal history them have. Yes I understand this is a public establishment. We people who work and pays the taxes that keep this establishment running, and we don’t feel safe using this establishment. This is not a safe place for my family. I like there is security. Staff is helpful. I'm not used to this library yet, our librarian where we came from did everything. It was a small library. When I have time, I can't wait to come in, walk around and see everything this library has to offer. So far I've just placed holds on books online and come in to pick them up. There's a good selection of books, but the upstairs smelled really bad due to homeless people napping up there. Also, I had to wait a long time to use the restroom as a key is required, and there was a line.
