(Good gym no reason to not go here this is a really long rambling kinda review but definitely worth reading if you plan on going here) This gym is such a good place to get in shape! I go here everyday I can. The weights that you want are here. Some of the equipment is old but to me that just makes it better like they are tested by time, well built. The squat racks here are my favorite that I’ve seen they are bolted to the floor and the wall makes me feel safe even though I don’t lift super heavy maybe you plan on that they have nice rogue rubber plates for the squat racks and the floor has these nice black rubber like track asphalt stuff there you deadlift so it’s still loud but better then Metal on wood they have all kinds of belts for heavy lifters or those who need them I found one that fits me and it is there when I need it this gym has a small track on the top of the Weight room and a cardio room to warm up or spend hours in the windows have a light tint so if you have confidence issues you can workout in peace ok one more room workout machines at this gym are in good quality again a little old but I love these machines so much they have such a good look and look great work well if you need the newer stuff, no you don’t these machines will do the job. Over all this gym has actually changed my life the people here know what’s up the heavy lifter type is little to none here the few super big guys are so nice to everyone I haven’t had a bad day at this gym you ask for a spotter when they aren’t doing anything and you are respectful you’ll get one and if you need to use a machine ask have manners and this gym will serve you well the only downside which isn’t even that bad late in the day there is a lot of kids and they do take a lot of the stuff but I’m ok with it but if that really bothers you come earlier and it will be pretty quiet like at 4:30 is when they come I believe so just come a little sooner then that and...
Read moreThis was my second visit to Timber Gym, and unfortunately, it left a bad impression. I recently moved here from out of state and was excited to find a gym where I could continue my training. During this visit, I was trying to find a female Olympic lifting bar and asked the owner for help. He handed me a bar, claiming it was a female Olympic bar, but it clearly wasn’t—the shaft wasn’t long enough to fit the rack or have the correct hand position for Olympic lifting. When I pointed this out, he dismissed me, saying that no female bars fit their racks, as if I didn’t know what I was talking about. I explained that at my previous gym, female bars fit the racks just fine, and his response was, “Then go to your other gym.”
This interaction was incredibly disappointing. I expect a gym owner to be knowledgeable, respectful, and welcoming—not dismissive and condescending. As someone new to the area, I was hoping to find a supportive and professional gym, but Timber Gym is clearly not the environment I’m looking for. I wouldn’t recommend it to others seeking a positive...
