Phenomenal first impression!!! We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess with a smile and the host who escorted us just the same. We were acknowledged by a busboy who assertively took our drink orders. Just moments later our designated servers arrived to take our adult drink order and obtain our salad with breadsticks order. Our drinks were delivered, straws included. I ordered the mango iced tea and Bae ordered a cocktail. Both were perfectly flavorful. As we waited for our food, more patrons arrived and the waiting staff became overwhelmed. We overheard minor complaints about orders (though our orders arrived as intended.) The patrons seated on either side of us were revisited by the hostess to inquire about the arrival of their server to take their drink orders; neither table had yet to be served or seen. We were not checked on for drink refills or salad & breadstick refills. Our food arrived hot and delicious, by the kitchen, wonderful help! Bae made eye contact with the manager and her came right over to check in. He did not hesitate to grab one of our servers (did I mention we were assigned two?) and soon after she arrived with a refill of salad and breadsticks. We enjoyed our meals and drinks and even though we saw our servers on their sporadic walks by, we were not met with inquiries of our updated needs. About 15 min after we had finished our meals I asked the hostess to please locate one of our servers, as were we ready to pay. She was unsure as to who was currently assigned to us now, but she did reach out for assistance. Meanwhile, Bae requested the manger who was attentive and kind. We informed him of a double charge on a sauce then voiced that it looks to us that his staff is overwhelmed. He immediately agreed and with a two minute chat he vented a bit we let him know we understood and that the first impression was phenomenal and we I’ll definitely be back!!! Oh and our check was rectified with a peaceful discount added. Thank you for the food, drinks, & care, Olive...
Read moreI’ve been going to Olive Garden for as long as I can remember, and I usually order the “You Pick Pasta” with gluten-free rotini and the 5-cheese marinara. Tonight was the first time I’ve ever had an issue with it and sadly, it left me extremely disappointed.
When my dish came out, I noticed right away that the sauce looked very different from what I’ve had countless times before. It was darker, the texture and taste were off, and honestly, it did not resemble the 5-cheese marinara I know well. When I mentioned it to our waitress (who was incredibly kind and attentive), she even admitted it looked “dark” and took it back to the manager. She then brought me a small side of the sauce without noodles for comparison and it was very obvious the two were not the same.
As someone who is vegetarian with food allergies, this was unsettling. I truly don’t know what was added to my dish, and it made me lose trust. My family members I sent pictures to even thought it looked like a meat sauce. Rather than acknowledging a mistake, the manager insisted it was “just what it looks like with noodles,” which simply isn’t true after years of ordering the same dish.
I’m not usually one to complain, but this experience left me feeling brushed off instead of heard. Mistakes happen, but honesty and accountability from management go a long way and unfortunately that was missing tonight.
On the positive side, our waitress and hostess were wonderful and very professional, and I want to be clear this review is no reflection on them.
I’ve added photos for reference, last photo was from the last time we...
Read moreI have visited this location two times. I gave it a 2nd chance to see if they had improved. Its was horrible again. The food is no where near as good as the location in White Marsh. Where do I begin...lets start with the breadsticks, always over cooked which makes them dry and crunchy on the outside. The amount of grease that comes out on the napkin is insane. The Alfredo sauce is no where near as good as the White Marsh location. Its too rich and the taste and texture is different. Both times the food has come out room temperature. No steam, no hotness! The salad has very little dressing both times. You have to ask for more. The tiramusi the first time was frozen when served. Would have been nice to be told that so we could have said no or ordered something different. As for the service, it is also horrible. I have never seen so many servers standing around doing nothing and just talking to one another. Both times it took forever to get drinks or ask for things. They only visit the table a few times. Getting anything is a task! This location needs time to pull it together! For now skip the Belcamp location and go to...
