2 Profs Gourmet Ice Cream — Restaurant in Abilene

This gourmet ice cream shop is a hidden gem in Abilene that I highly recommend. They make their own ice cream which is so incredibly delicious, extra creamy and rich. We had the caramel ice cream which was indeed the best ice cream I have had!! Another time we had their amazing coconut ice cream with toasted coconut. They have an old fashion retro decor which reminds me of yesteryear. It's just a wonderful place for both kids and adults. They have a great selection and even have a dairy free option for my daughter who has a dairy allergy.

We had our dog with us and asked them if we could sit on the patio with her. They even offered water for her since it was so hot outside which was so thoughtful. They also offered her a small little cup of vanilla ice cream. It was her first ice cream and she loved it. The young lady working here provided excellent customer service and was so helpful & thoughtful. Love my experience here and it will be one of my favorite places to go to next time I'm in Abilene. Have you ever rewarded your kids with a "sweet treat" and walked away looking forward to the next time your kid does something remotely worth rewarding? That's what happened the first time I went to Two Profs. I've been back about four times, and that first time was about two months ago... By getting double scoops each time, and trying what my kids get each time too, I can confidently say that each flavor they offer is top notch, full of flavor, extremely creamy, and worth every penny. Speaking of price, the portion to price is heavily in the customer's favor. Especially if you get a cone... They make sure to pack the cone and get a full scoop on top... Fantastic! If you are looking for ultra-premium ice cream, check them out. The quality is great. If you are a soft-serve only type of person, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Soft, creamy, and oh-so-tasty. The flavors they have are perfect (especially the Salted Caramel and Black Raspberry). Also, the prices are VERY competitive. They have a nice, accessible location, a short drive from ACU, and the staff are fun and personable (especially Ms. Crystal). We gave up on another ice cream place in town (call them Chilly Rock) as their quality and service were on the decline and prices on the rise to the point they became terrible.
