My husband picked up a dozen and a half Tamales this morning. I've been wanting some and haven't found anyone selling them for a while now. So I was super excited to have them. WORST Tamales I've ever tasted! If you like salty food, these are #1. They are so salty, the salt must have fallen in while being measured. (Hopefully it was an accident. ) Now if you can swallow the extremely salty tamale, you wouldn't even know you're eating a tamale unless you're looking at it. They had such an overpowered taste of smokey burnt food. I could even taste the mask. Even as I sit here writing this review, the smell of something burned is lingering in the air. So dry, salty and burnt. Definitely overpriced, especially for terrible food. Oh, and the hot sauce was just as bad. Disappointed customer.

My order was missing burritos. When I went back in to get my order, the cashier was nice and tried to help while the food prep person was yelling profanities about how I was probably stealing. Ironically someone else came in and had their order missing a burrito too. To top it all off, I found this piece Brillo pad somehow mixed in with my food when I got home.

After going to Alfonso Burritos in Duncanville, he told me about his dad's spot in Abilene. This place was just as good and Burritos were delicious! Staff wasn't that talkative when trying to bring up the son so I was like...okay lol...but good overall, would definitely come back!

Recently went in for burritos. Mind you , I’m pregnant and was sooo craving the barbacoa burritos and a bean an bacon. That’s literally all i ordered. Two barbacoa and one bacon and bean. Upon receiving my burritos I realized they only gave me one barbacoa and an egg and cheese burrito. No big deal right? Went back and politely told them my order and waited about 5 minutes. They came back to drive thru window handed me my food I drove off and again looked in the bag to see I still had egg and cheese and barbacoa. Irritated at this point I go back and I’m like I specifically asked for two barbacoa and ONE bacon and bean! The lady behind the counter looked annoyed by my request and in Spanish the cashier was telling her bean and bacon only no egg just bean and bacon . Lady rolling the burritos looked super annoyed . Grabbed my food and left. I get home and my barbacoa burritos barely have any meat and consisted of mainly fat and my tortilla was absolutely saturated in oil to the point I couldn’t even eat it. And I guess burrito lady wanted to be petty as she barely smeared any bean in my burrito and put mostly burnt bacon. I cried for a good 20 minutes . All I wanted to do was enjoy some good burritos. I will never return to Alfonso Hernandez bakery ever again. I know the line is long at la popular in south 1st and sayles but it’s definitely worth the wait :) burritos are clean not oily at all and delicious 🤤 do better Alfonso Hernandez and teach your employees some respect and how to take constructive criticism with out getting mad because they...

I go here 2-3 times a week and today, June 4, the ladies working the front were so rude. On my receipt the cashier name is Victoria. I always get the same things each time, today I was charged extra for cheese for my bean and cheese Burrito. I told her about that saying it should be 4.50 instead of 5 and she said that cheese is extra. I replied then why does it say something different on your TV. She said that the TV is wrong. If you a promoting the wrong prices, then you should at least fix it or fixed what I already paid. I also order potato egg and bacon, she did not put it right in her system and give me just egg and bacon. She gave me an attitude and said I didn't hear you. She turned around and told the ladies cooking in the back to fix it and wave her hands with attitude. What's sad is that the lady behind me was in agreement with me about this place and how the ladies in the from are treating customers. I never usually leave bad reviews but honestly, if you are going to act like that at one of my fav breakfast places, you should learn better customer service or work somewhere else. I will be going somewhere...

I’m not exaggerating even a little bit: Came here for the first time to dine-in for breakfast on a Sunday. I ordered limonada, and it was NASTY. Like not even sort of a hint of lemon flavor, barely any sugar, it tasted like it should’ve been mop water. Then we waited between 30-45 minutes for our food, and only got it when I asked the front desk—our ticket had been lost. I got huevos rancheros and the bacon was hardly cooked, the potatoes were flavorless, and it didn’t come with salsa or chile—which it’s supposed to come with, and I’d asked for it when I ordered. I asked the girl that brought the food for some chile and she acted like I was monumentally inconveniencing her, then slammed it on the table without a word. Not to mention the building was filled with flies. It was an all-around awful experience, and I’m not...
