Milk and Honey Bakery — Restaurant in Abilene

Only baker in Abilene that is an actual bakery and will bake what you ask of them. Spoke to Jennifer on the phone asking about gluten free bread and she was incredibly professional and determined to find a solution for me. Thanks Jennifer! She gave me the direct cell phone number for the baker. I spoke to Jon on the phone and he was extremely helpful with finding the exact ingredients I am looking for. I specifically asked him if could make a gluten free bread with a flour that does not have xanthan gum. He is going to do the research, and create a recipe to meet my needs since 99% of gluten free flour has xanthan gum included in the ingredients. This is a place that obviously cares about their customers. All other bakery's I called in Abilene were not willing to even consider baking gluten free bread or didn't bake bread at all. I'm not sure why they call themselves a bakery then. Thank you Milk and Honey, you stand out among others during a time where the customer doesn't feel important to the businesses that we spend our hard earned money on. You have my business, and I will be recommending you anytime anyone at Dyess AFB is looking for a baker.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Will never do any business with them ever again! Will never recommend them. When and ate there and food was horrible! Did not even finish it. Then saw they had cake decorating classes coming up so thought that could be fun. Went online and signed up got my confirmation email. Arrived there on Saturday and it was not open. Waited till they were open and called and John answered the phone. Never though someone could be so rude about having a class and no one being there to do the class. Did not even apologize for the inconvenience of driving in from out of town for this “Class” Apparently it was my fault somehow?? But i will never ever do any business with them ever again. I will be sure to let people know what bad food and service they have. Please don’t waste your time going here. It’s not worth it. My dog would not even eat the left overs I brought him...

I can not thank this lovely couple enough!! Not only did my bridal party have my bridal shower here, but they made my beautiful wedding cake as well. The bridal shower was gorgeous with plenty of wonderful treats for all the guests. John, put on a fabulous cake tasting for me and my bridal party. He really listened and took notes on exactly what I wanted the wedding cake to be. I could not be more pleased on how everything turned out. The cake was not only beautiful but tasted amazing. We recieved so many compliments on how wonderful it tasted. We acutally didn't have any left over - if that let's you know how great it really was. They also performed the cake cutting so it was one less thing we had to worry about during the wedding. Thanks again for all you did. Much Love, Necole...
