Munson Taphouse — Restaurant in Abilene

We went here with a friend as a goodbye dinner mainly because this was a “well crap where we wanted to go is closed” we got there and food was WAY over priced first red flag and should have been our only red flag we needed to get up and leave. My husband said the sandwich he ordered wasn’t terrible but his onion rings were MOLDED not even a little moldy either. All of the food that came out was either frozen, canned, or produced somewhere else other than on the facility. The server told us the special and then it was not the right things that came with it. Was charged $5 for a side salad that had runny ranch and was not at all worth that money. Seating was uncomfortable and there was only one server on a somewhat busy Saturday afternoon. No one at the front door to seat you. Had to wander around the place to find a guy. Bathroom was out of service. Half the menu was steaks but they were out of every type of steak. Out of half the beers on tap. The only waiter I saw working there seemed overwhelmed with all the customers. Some left immediately after finding out they had no steaks. Looks like poor management. I remember this place being very different when I was a kid. Better food back then.
