Statesman Coffee — Restaurant in Abilene

Wow! This place is so small. There is hardly any parking spaces. There appears to be back parking, but no sign that says so that I could see. I drove there thinking the place is BIG because of the name, but it should be called SMALL Country Coffee. I didn't try any coffee as it was packed for a small place and I wanted a place I can drink coffee inside with leg room, use my computer, etc. I now understand why everyone is promoting the outside area as it's so small you'd probably not want to be inside. Probably best for a drive thru coffee service. If anyone knows what Checkers burger joint looks like, then that is my best comparing of the size of the building. Oh well, I'll go to another coffee shop that has more room....

Haven't a clue how a rating was even posted only realizing it wrongs must be corrected. Big Country Coffee is the best coffee in the West! They use a quality bean, rich in flavor, yet, keep the price reasonable. Their blended no fat, no sugar chocolate mocha is an epicurean delight! It is a guilt free decadant dessert in a cup. Every trip to Abilene I make, is reason to drive thru to get a cuppa at Big Country Coffee. Why anyone goes to that other drive thru coffee place whose roots are not from deep in the heart of Texas, is mystery to me. Just as the previous post, a phone jingle jangling in my purse post, no doubt. Smart phone, sometimes not so smart operator. Give it a try, you will never go back to you...

I tried statesman's a few times and refuse to spend many more money here. you literally never know what you're going to get, starting with customer service. One time you get someone nice then you get someone rude or short vocal. Don't ask about their loyalty because nobody seems to know, and it always changes just like their happy hour. Different info is given each time although 1/2 price iced coffee is after 12, they will try to charge you for the latte and will try not to let u add syrups to iced coffees? After the 8-10 times I've tried to understand their "RULES" Ill simply find somewhere else to go. PS--it's not hard to say have a nice day before closing the window in...
