Market Street has great deals and cutting edge prices. One time as I was walking out of their store with two hands full of purchases, I saw a miscreant running as fast as he could through the parking lot away from the store with what I can only assume was stolen items. I sighed and kept moving, figuring that evil had prevailed again this day. But then, like Batman himself, a ruggedly handsome and burly Market Street employee sprinted out of the doors at a pace so quick that he was breaking the 30mph parking lot speed limit. After making it all the way across the parking lot, he lunged to tackle the evildoer, but realized it was a younger individual. Our hero stopped right in his tracks and told him "You don't have to act like this. You can have a bright future. What would your future children think if they could see you right now?" The thief fell to his knees. He had a moment of reckoning, I could see it in his eyes. He dropped the stolen merchandise, and fell to the ground crying. The hero ran over to his limp body and cradled him like a child. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. However, I had ice cream in my bags and didn't want it to melt so I hopped in my car and left. Wish I could have seen how that story played out! Oh well, I got what I needed. Market Street...

Me and my uncle BooBoo needed a few items for a cookie recipe we were making so we decided to hit up our local market street! It was a usual Saturday morning at market street besides when we walked in the door there were samples of different foods around every corner!! We first turn to the deli section to cut through to get our few ingredients but my uncle got rather distracted. An over enthusiastic worker decided to hand uncle different kinds of hummus. Uncle BooBoo got so into her spill about this authentic hummus he demanded he needed some of this hummus. So as my uncle gets this “legendary” hummus and some overpriced crackers that were surprisingly good we headed into the aisles of food. Uncle requests he pushes the basket and leads the way. Unwillingly I allow him to push the cart and we then get our cocoa powder. Just as I thought our shopping experience was over because we got our one item, uncle decided to take his own sample of some $100 wine. As I finally pay attention and grab the wine from my uncle, one of the managers come along. Of course they ask what we were doing and I then had to explain yet again what my uncle did. And that’s how I spent $130 at market street for 3 items. Great store, decent prices, just keep your uncle contained in...

I have been getting mine and my kids prescriptions here since 2018 today was the final straw they are always pretty unhappy workers and not very friendly but you will not be rude to my 19 year old son who is trying to be a adult and do it on his own. He went in for his precipitations today only one was ready but “insurance will not cover this” so he called me I called up there 5 mins later it’s covered come on why couldn’t you just help him and get it covered I should NOT have to call up there for him. I went in because at this point he didn’t want that older lady with the black short hair to be rude and ugly to him again he had 2 other prescriptions that they said one isn’t covered and they will have to call the dr and the other they don’t have. At this point I’m pretty angry but we just pay and leave. And this is stuff he can’t live without being a type 1 diabetic. I called HEB pharmacy to transfer within a hour his prescriptions were moved and magically he did have the prescription they said they didn’t see. I will be moving all my prescriptions because there is absolutely no excuse for them to be so lazy and RUDE to us. Honestly I don’t think I’ll go to Marketstreet at all anymore I’m...

I just wanted to take a moment to brag on Christie in the bakery department at Market Street in Abilene, TX. I have worked with her 5-6 times now for cakes and desserts for various events. She ALWAYS does a phenomenal job. Even on the days that I call her with a request and very little notice, like today, she gets me taken care of every time. Today I needed a last minute smash cake and 3 dozen cupcakes for my little cousin’s birthday party. I wasn’t confident in being able to pull it off, so I called to ask what they had already made. Christie called me back shortly after and said “I’ve got something for you.” I did NOT expect her to make a custom themed cake with 3 dozen matching cupcakes in less than an hour and a half. She also remembered that my own children can’t consume food dye and included two special cupcakes for them. She deserves SO much recognition for her hard work and customer rapport. It’s SO refreshing to have continuous great experiences with businesses and employees. That is hard to come by. Thank you Christie! We appreciate you!🧁🎈

I love this place! It's super clean, the staff is friendly, and it carries the weird special food I need because of my ridiculous food allergies. The only thing I wish they would do differently is spend more time teaching the baggers proper sacking technique so that they could do the job faster, load the car so that stuff wouldn't fall over and spill out of bags and get squished, and not stick things together that shouldn't be together. That's just me being picky, though. I used to be a bagger for them back in college ... haha 😄 Update: Today was a great trip. Even with the staff restocking shelves, everyone was really lovely. Our bagger was especially friendly and told us how much he loved his job. It's great to hear how an employee likes working for a company and that they are treated well. 😀

My review has gone from 1 star to 2 stars. As mentioned before, all of the employees and staff are friendly and try to help as much as possible. A lot of the problems with stocking the store have been resolved. One remains and I guess will never be resolved. I was not born and raised in Texas so I don't have the same allegiance to Coke brand products as the locals. Specifically, I like Diet Pepsi 12-can boxes but the store only allows space for four 12-can boxes. They advertise a special price but only if you buy three (with a limit of six) which, buying six of course, is impossible with only four ever even possible in stock.
