Good day. I just want to write this review. Last night was my birthday, a bunch of my friends came out with me my daughter and my friend, which was a really nice treat. We went to otooles in whitman. With no problem at all. Spent alot of $$ there but kitchen was closed. We were all hungry so we googled where to go. Jp Ryan's poped up. Ok haven't been here in a min..so we went. First we all met in the parking lot. Had a smoke before going in. Bartender was not pleased, came over to the window were we were all having a smoke and stared at all of us. Trying to be a tuff guy. Ok sorry but didn't need the attitude. Then we all walked in. Mind you there was about 10 of us, let's just say not all where of the white region..who gives a s**!!! Well Mr. Bald Bartender did. The whole time we were there it was like our table was not good enough for him..we ordered drinks he took all our IDs. And we ordered pizzas and to him it was like the end of the world. To put someone of that type behind your bar is a pure shame. Trust me the next time I'm out with my friends I definitely will not be coming here. If you are of a different region do NOT GO TO JP RYANS. it's so sad how my friends were so disrespected there. I'm ashamed for you. (There is no room in the world for people like you) I do however want to thank the young lady who did see what was going on, and she was a GREAT...
Read moreJ.P. Ryan's is a great neighborhood bar. They have a kitchen pumping out standard pub fare, but have a sleeper gem on their menu: the steak tip dinner (imo, teriyaki is the best flavor). The tips are so tender, cooked perfectly every time, and you get a decent amount for the reasonable price. Add to it a Guinness draught, and you've hit a home run. It gets a little on the busy side Fridays and Saturdays, but they'll still do takeout. Add the owners are some of the nicest and greatest guys you'll meet, especially Matty and Webb. It's been a great spot for music, food, and drink for nearly 20 years, I add I hope they keep going for the next 20+. Ditch the traffic on 123 for a few, stop in, add have some steak tips and Guinness. You'll be glad you did. (They have plenty of other menu items, also, but I'm all about those...
Read morePerfect place for lunch on a day off. I had a chicken caesar wrap with fries and a pickle, solid. No croutons in the wrap and the chicken grilled perfectly and cut up, not strips. Great battered fries that are crispy and a pickle. Bartender was wonderful, quick, conversational and obviously loved by the regulars...Another great point about this place: obvious regulars: Local characters that clearly love this place. Beautiful space with oak everywhere and a coffered ceiling. Sports on multiple TVs and KENO. ...
