Not bad, not great. The Alambre plate had Chorizo, Pork, and Chicken topped with Tri-colored peppers and Oaxca style cheese. It was served with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. It was seasoned well and tasted good. The rice lacked flavor and seem to be a Spanish style with some tomato juice for color. It was not much more than a few ounces for a serving. The black beans resembled a few pices of beans broken beans in a midnight black sauce. 90 % sauce and 10% beans. Really not very good. The chips you pay extra for, which is no problem. It came with two sauces a red a green. Both had chunks of onion and cilantro swimming in a soupy concoction. Both lacked flavor and the chips were ice cold. Not sure what they were going for here other than cheap and Gringo. The Cheese Quesadilla came with the same Beans and Rice and the same portion size. For Mexican Grilled cheese it was how do say... "okay". The waitress was nice, and kept up as we were the only people in the place on a Friday night at 7:30 pm....so I see why. The place has potential, but our first time will most likely be our last time. Would love to a see a good taqueria on this...
Read moreThe food was good, portions, were exceptional, the percentage of rice compared, to the entree, was pretty disportioate. It was served in to-go containers, with plastic silverware, the drinks were served in, perhaps 10 oz Styrofoam containers. The salsa, sour cream and other sauces, were served in a very small, maybe a teaspoon size container. The homemade salsas were very tasty. There was a cost, for additional sauces and no drink refills. Everyone knows, the cost of fountain drinks are the container, so a free refill, would amount to pennies. It would go a long way, towards building good will. They had large trash cans, by the door for you to dispose of your containers. Not very appealing. There was a mature women, cooking in the back. A younger man, taking orders and payments, sitting on a stool, by the trash cans. I never saw him leave his stool, to wipe off a table top. Four other customers, came and left, while we...
Read moreWe ordered the taco package with steak and al pastor meat, paid extra for guac, green salsa, chips, and grilled jalapeños. We paid a lot only to come home missing the salsa. We called about the $7 we paid for the missing salsa and was rejected. The host was rude and extremely unprofessional about my concern. I let it go and just let it be.I was later called that I was correct and to go and pick up my salsa, really? After I finished my meal what good does this do, I was more upset about the service I got and the way I was treated after spending so much money there, they could care less of my concern with my order to make it right. To finish things off, my stomach went crazy 20 mim after eating and I ended up having food poisoning that night. If you are on vacation, save yourself the night of stomach problems and bad service-skip on this place. If you are local and eat there all the time, god...
