Great food! I ordered the carnita verde. The meat was cut smaller than I would have liked, and did not look too pleasant, but was delicious, tender, and easy to eat. ( I have sensitive teeth.) The green salsa it was served with was just the right amount of heat. I like my green salsa hot. It came with rice, refried beans, and 4 tortillas. My husband had the mandos chicken. This is one of my favorite dishes here too. Grilled Chicken breast topped with cooked spinach and mushrooms. Side of rice and salad. He had to order tortillas to go with it. BUT the best part was dessert!!!! A banana chimichanga! This was gorgeous and delicious!!!!!! A banana cut up inside a tortilla that is deep fried then topped with whipped cream, cinnamon, and usually chocolate syrup, but tell them to replace it with honey or add the honey to it. So much better. Not too sweet, but just the right blend of warm banana chimichanga and cool honey, cinnamon, and whipped cream topped ice cream. Ours came with 3-4 scoops. Big enough for two to share. Although husband said he did not want any then ate 1/2. Lol 😆 The restaurant has also added Hispanic heritage related artwork on the tables, booths, and around the dinning room. Always a joy to look at all the beautiful paintings. This is a must go place in...
Read moreI felt like we were being judged when we came in. We had 2 adults and 5 kids in our party. There were 3 employees at the hostess counter when we came in, giving us weird looks and giggling. Was not welcoming. Exterior signage seems shady. Interior is vibrant. Service was just ok. We had to ask for chip refill even though our server walked by twice seeing empty baskets on our table. Table got extremely crowded with plates, server could have removed empty plates to make room. We had to pile them up to get them out of the way. The food was good. We ordered the Molcajete but it was missing some of the things most Molcajetes come with, like grilled cactus and cheese queso sticks. The chorizo seemed homemade and was great. Not too salty like most. We also ordered steak fajitas, burrito, kids taco and kids chicken tenders. The steak was tender and the food was good. The salsa was fresh and tasty. We also ordered a large cheese dip that seemed small so we ordered another one. Beware the soft drinks...
Read more"Diamond in the Rough" It was thanks to a Lucky Turn during a Blind Sunday Afternoon Search for a Sit-down Meal that led us to this Quaint Mexican Restaurant tucked away in small complex called "Adair Station" on the corner of Commerce and Eagle Parkway. We were skeptical at first walking up to the Hidden Gem but when we walked in we were Pleasantly Surprised how Lovely and Festive the Atmosphere was. We were Greeted & Seated immediately. Our Server Lalo was Delightful and Friendly. He confidently answered all my questions about some of the items on the menu. After being served two Delicious Margaritas with some Chips and Salsa, my wife ordered the Enchilada Suizas and I ordered the Molcajete. Our dinner orders were expedited immediately and served piping hot. I can’t say enough how Wonderful the Food was and how Amazing the Service is. We will...
