I'm not normally in Bensenville however when I knew I would be I pulled up restaurants near where I'd be. When I came across Los Buenos Diaz Mexican Grill I checked the sites menu. Now I checked the price range first because I was working with 20 bucks. I decided on the 3 tacos. Unfortunately I assumed from the price that it would include rice and beans. I'd seen a person saying that their portions were small for their prices but the food was good. I was greeted said I was ordering to go. We walked to the counter and the waitress took out a menu for me. I told her I know what I wanted and made my order assuming there would be rice and beans as well with the 3 tacos after I was told the cost of 21.52 . The waitress pocketed the receipt and walked away. When another waitress stepped up I asked for a receipt of which she gave me. I waited and even sat down but got up to go outside to take a call. While outside the first waitress soon came outside to let me know my order was ready. Before I could get to the door she'd gone inside and brought the order and handed it to me through the outer door with a smile and I thanked her. I drove to my destination never looking in the bag. Once I was settled, I looked at the food and was happy with the presentation but sad that it was only 3 tacos, a lime with 2 sauce and a flatware set with napkin. All I could think was I wish it was more for what I'd paid. I prepared a taco to eat and tasted nothing. The meat was cooked tender and juicy but there wasn't any flavor. I was disappointed because I was hungry. I saved a taco for later and it was the same no matter what I put on it. I think if a restaurant is going to charge so much they should make it worth the money a person pays. I feel like I threw my money on the ground and drove away with nothing. I recommend seasoning and adding at least one side or actually both for the price they charge with such pretty presentation. I didn't need flatware when I'm only...
Read moreWe were visiting from Utah and happened upon this restaurant by accident. We eat at Mexican restaurants all of the time and have found some authentic, wonderful places to eat but they tend to be ubiquitous.
We were SO happy with this gem and can honestly say it is the BEST Mexican food we have EVER had.
We tried the Poblano Pepper Soup and the Ribeye Tacos from their limited specials menu and they were off-the hook good. The care and love that they take in the foods' preparation is nothing short of phenomenal. And the Queso Fundido was an experience unto itself.
SOOOOOOOOOOOO good!
I am surprised this place was not busier, but I am figuring many people have yet to discover it. We told the staff there that we'd be flying back in to town JUST to eat at this restaurant again, and we mean it!
The staff was warm and friendly and you could tell they are passionate about what they do. Don't pass this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I can’t stop raving about the experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh—seriously, even the water tasted super refreshing, which is a rarity!
I decided to try the marlin ceviche, and it was a game-changer. The marlin was perfectly marinated, bursting with flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. For my main dish, I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it did not disappoint! The eggs were cooked to perfection, complemented by a rich and savory sauce that tied everything together. Both dishes were so good that I found myself savoring every bite.
I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu. If you’re looking for a great meal, I highly recommend visiting restaurant! You...
