Taqueria Mexico 2000 #2 — Restaurant in Addison Township

If you are looking for an authentic Mexican cuisine or just a delicious taco this is the place to go. I've visited a numerous amount of Mexican restaurants in the area and by far this one stands out for authenticity, natural feel, and unbelievably delicious food.

Yes it's hidden in the middle of the downtown area. It's a small shack that allows for maybe a dozen people to sit in. The chairs are a bit unorthodox, but the food is worth it.

On my last visit I stopped in for a sope and two steak taco's. The rich juicy taste of the steak combined with the ingredients and salsa left me ordering more after my first sitting.

I definitely recommend others to give this place a try. You may be coming in more often than you think. Oh and by the way, I believe they may be on uberEATS for those who wish to order out.

One last thing. This place is very inexpensive and a great place to stop in if you miss your train or waiting for the next...

I was hungry and slightly hungover and driving thru the area and because i used to live nearby i decided to stop in and order a couple tacos to cure what ailed me.

First red flag was a dirty bathroom and then when she brought chips and salsa both salsas tasted old, the green one especially.

The tacos came out really quick and altho the tortillas were hot and crispy the meat (lengua) (suadero) were both a sad state of affairs. Dry and tasteless.

I paid my bill and left scolding myself for ignoring the other tell tale signs. This place deserves the name mexico 2000 because they seem to be...

UBER EATS order was incorrect ! I called the restaurant to conform if both entrees were made, they confirmed only one order was made and that she had issues with her computer. I questioned if I would pay $29 for only one order? she corrected me that I played $23(with out taxes).
