I just moved to the area and this spot was recommended by Google. My husband ordered one taco de tripa to try it, and was disappointed he didn't order more. I've never liked tripas before, so trust me when I say I was impressed. He ordered asada tacos too and although we prefer skirt steak for our tacos, these weren't disappointing. I ordered the quesatacos platillo (with handmade tortillas & consome). I have to say tho' the consome was a little salty, it was really close in flavor to an authentic birria. It's actually the 1st time I enjoyed eating it from a restaurant. I'm really picky and I love real authentic food so I'm glad I found this spot. I will be coming back soon to try more of their dishes. Don't listen to the bad reviews and give it a try, you wont be let down.
P.S . All tacos come with an option of milagro corn tortilla, handmade tortilla, or flour tortilla. The green salsa was really good in flavor. Red salsa not my favorite. Both salsas...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem! I went last night for a late night burrito because they’re open until 2am (Fri & Sat). I ended up having so much fun because they had a Dj and were doing karaoke. The songs being played and sung varied from classics, romantic corridos, reggaeton, new, and old songs.
The vibe was amazing and people were dancing and having a great time. The atmosphere was also very welcoming. The tables and bathrooms were clean.
I prefer not to drink and they have authentic non-alcoholic beverages like horchata, nopal water, and aguga de tamarindo or jamaica. However, their drink menu is very appealing with margaritas, micheladas, cocktails, and a large variety of Mexican beer.
The staff is very attentive and constantly refilled my water. The burritos are really good but big; this is a great value for the price! I’m looking forward to coming back for another Karaoke night with...
Read moreWe were searching for authentic Mexican food in the area and it came down to this place and Taqueria El Toreo. We ended up coming here and got what we were looking for and more.
We got the carne asada dinner and enchiladas rojas, which were both a generous portion. Both plates were exceptional, clean, and fresh. Our server was very nice and gave us a refill on our chips, which were complimentary and delicious, without us asking. We ended with one of the many unique and fun churro plates on the dessert menu and made special requests to which the server accommodated with no problems.
The restaurant is clean and neat and every staff member does a great job. This is the first food review I've ever posted in my life so I hope that goes to show how wonderful La Poblanita Mexican Cuisine Bensenville is. I would highly recommend...
