Absolutely worst service, worst experience on a first-time/last-time visit. Carla C. was our server, and she took her time asking for our drink orders. It took another 20 minutes for her to take our order. We waited a total of an hour and a half, and we had only received our appetizer at the 50-minute mark. There was another waitress there that I asked for an update on the food, and she told me it would be only 2 more minutes.. 10 minutes passed before we finally decided to leave. I asked Carla for the check, and she informed me she would, "get it soon because other people were waiting." There were maybe 5 other tables just waiting for food, which I pointed out. She didn't appreciate the constructive criticism and proceeded to tell me that she "was alone and no one wanted to work." An old lady chimed in with a comment no one asked for, muttering "disgraceful." Then Carla quickly responded, "You see what I have to deal with?". Carla tried to get me to pay for the pizza I ordered, but I hadn't yet received it, and I refused. She said, "Whatever, Im not arguing with you." Which I thought was weird because no one was arguing. She also tried to throw the check slip at me, which was also weird because it's a sliver of paper. I ended up paying for a drink and an apatizer. The macaroni bites taste like a microwave meal you'd get at a convenience store. I don't know what the pizza tastes like.. some say it's...
Read moreMy bf and I had a long journey getting to Chicago earlier in the day and we have a tradition to grab a bite after all the travel when we finally get to our destination. We were craving pizza, not cause it’s Chicago but because pizza sounded darn good after a flight and dealing with hotel and car rental.
The waitress there earlier around 11PM when we got there informed us the kitchen was closed which made sense after she said that. Our tired pea brains were fine with some drinks my bf was craving a beer and pizza specifically.
Suddenly she says after a bit “I got some slices they’re pretty big and-“ we jumped up at the prospect of pizza. I don’t know if it was a quiet night at the bar coupled with having been out and about for the majority of the day but man did that Pizza hit. It was good and warm (she reheated it up I’m not religious but bless her) and we felt instantly better having food in our stomachs.
Wanting to leave a good review because it was nice cozy and just wanted to express how grateful we were for a slice and well my husband a...
Read moreI was really looking forward to trying Chicago Style Pizza and after flying in late from West Texas, we found Tree Guys Pizza as it had fair ratings and was close to our hotel. Google listed closing time as 1:00 AM, so we took an Uber and arrived just after 10:30 PM. When we walked in, the staff immediately told us they were closed — even though it wasn’t even 11:00 yet. The person at the counter mentioned they had already been closed for over an hour but the door was unlocked, which doesn’t match the posted hours or the hours posted on the door.
After traveling all day, it was incredibly disappointing to be turned away, especially when the door was still open and the hours online said otherwise. To make things worse, as soon as we left, they locked the door behind us. If you plan to come here, I’d recommend calling ahead — their posted hours clearly can’t be trusted.
So, we had to take another Uber to a different restaurant. So, started off $15 negative. The second restaurant was opened until 3:00PM...ans totally worth it...
