The fault is that of the owner/management alone.
There was a grand total of 3 people working, 3.5 hours after the location was open. The 2 ladies were working the kitchen, the drive-thru, and the register/counter, while the guy was wondering around and then just watching the tortillas come out of the machine. Understaffing, and overworking the on-duty staff (that were actually working) at a location like this is just bad management and bad business. When I arrived, the ladies were doing their best to keep up with online orders, like mine. While I was there, the line at the counter and drive-thru got backed up to the front door and around the front of the building. Even though the lady was taking orders both in person and on her headset. The person in line behind me commented, "This is why I got away from this type of business. I hated seeing some people being worked to death for the same money as that guy, who's gettin' paid for just standin' around". I will not be back to this location, simply because I will neither contribute to overworking the people who are doing their job, nor to paying someone who thinks he should get paid just for showing up and standing around. Which is too bad, because the people that I shared the Breakfast Tacos with said they were really good.
Since you asked for a details and my suggestion about how you could improve, I added the above statement to my rating. To make the statement clearer for you. Get rid of the lazy people that you are paying to stand around, hire people who want to work, and increase the number of staff per shift. If you stop cutting staff to save money and show profits, invest in quality staff, and improve the customers' experience, the bottom line will take care of itself. You should know that this is coming from a fellow business owner. Stop being greedy. Start...
Read moreWorst customer service I have EVER experienced. I placed an online order at 9:39 pm for a 10:00 pm pick up. While I understand they are currently closing at 10:00 pm, I should not have been able to place a pick up order for that time if they could not fulfill it. When I arrived at 9:59 pm to pick up my order, the drive through was already closed. I pulled up to the window only for them to motion to me they were closed. Because no one would actually come to the window, I had to yell that I had placed an online order. A young lady finally came to the window and told me they never received my order. I showed her my confirmation email, to which she replied “well we didn’t get it.”
I asked for a refund of the $30 I spent. She told me to cancel my order. There was no option in my confirmation email to cancel my order. I explained this to her, and she told me it was all done online and she couldn’t help me. I asked for a manager’s contact information, to which she told me she was a manager. I asked for the general manager’s email address, to which she told me it was all online and CLOSED THE WINDOW IN MY FACE. Completely, totally inappropriate and rude.
I have tried contacting Taco Cabana’s guest services phone number only to have the phone line ring over and over with no answer. I have also submitted a contact inquiry and haven’t heard back.
Not only did I lose $30 that I may or may not see again, but I wasted time driving to and from the location. This experience reflects extremely poorly on Taco Cabana and specifically this location, especially at a time when you should be going the extra mile to ensure you do not go out of business...
Read moreI give a ton of leedway to fast food restaurants and their staff. I don't expect great service and even if I have a generally poor experience the worst I'll do is never return in the future.
Well, I have had a poor experience at this Addison/Farmers Branch location in the past, but I like Taco Cabana and this location is convenient for me so I thought I'd give it another chance. So, I walked in with lower expectations and was already kind of thinking that I was going to regret my decision.
With this mindset, I walk in and stand in line behind a couple that is taking forever to order (which I don't hold against the staff for) and as I'm waiting I notice that I'm not seeing any staff working in the kitchen (or even the drive thru) and this starts to make me think that it's going to take forever to get my meal so I'm already ready to leave.
Well the staff member finishes with the couple and walks to the back. While he's gone the guy waiting behind me says nothing, walks around me, and goes to the counter.
I think that he's just going to ask a question or get a cup of water. Nope, he orders his meal. LOL!
This staff member saw me waiting this whole time and didn't even question why this other dude was ordering his meal first; he just started ringing him up.
Honestly, I was so relived that he gave me an out so I could go somewhere else (who knows how long I would have had to wait if I had paid for my meal).
Anyhow, it's super easy to drive to the Chick-fil-A (almost next door) and I got my dinner super quick there so it wasn't like I was inconvenienced too much.
But, this story is just so hilarious that I had to write a review...
