Jasmine Uniquely Chinese — Restaurant in Addison

I tried Jasmine's delivery service.

I started with an exceptional wonton soup. Light broth with delicious dumplings. Not the usual over-salted, over-oily, and over thickened soup that one normally gets.

I then had the Lobster with scallions and ginger. Excellent. Lobster was very lightly battered, delicious, tender, and not overcooked. This included a stir fry of a wide variety of perfectly cooked crisp-tender vegetables in a pleasing white sauce. The lobster was not Maine lobster as advertised, however. It was Florida or another warm water variety. And there were no scallions in the stir-fry. Strange, as that is the name of the dish. Nevertheless, very tasty.

Rice was fine. Even the fortune cookie was about the freshest and tastiest I've ever had...and that numbers in the hundreds.

The ordering process is a little unusual on line. They call you after a few minutes to get your credit card info. But the woman who called was pleasant, and efficient. She said the delivery would be in 30 minutes, and it was exactly 30 minutes. The driver was polite and pleasant. All this on a busy Friday night.

Price is appropriate. It's basic Chinese delivery, but some of the best I've had. Minus a half point for the misleading menu, but...

If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. I was extremely skeptical about ordering from here as I walked up the steps and saw no one, not one customer and no sign of life. I ordered my food and was told it would be 15 mins and I asked to be called as I went back to my car and the lady said no. So I returned to grab my food about 10 mins later. I get home and the pupu platter was all dried up fried food with zero taste with may me just the cabbage bed with the best taste out of everything in it. I opened the pan fried pit stickers and they were not pan fried but rather deep fried which left them all hard and dried up but the filling did have a decent taste. I go ahead and open the rice which was a combination fried rice and the chicken. Is pretty much a shredded chicken with little pieces of beef and had no flavor and look all mooshed. The general Tao chicken had the right presentation but it was sitting in 1/4 inch of water, had no taste, was no where near a taste it should not been and a absolutely waste of $60 worth of food.

I've been ordering from these guys quite frequently and their sushi has been picture perfect and absolutely delicious! Ordering over the phone has always been a pleasure, and even with the rare language barrier type of repetitiveness there is nothing to complain about. Their staff is clearly not only selected well, but trained well. The pricing is absolutely fair, although it would be nice if the delivery charge could be waived for orders of, say, 30 dollars. Im not going to tell you it is my number one spot for sushi in the metroplex, but for the money the quality is astounding. The delivery crew has been awesome and the one or two that had a difficult time finding my apartment were very attentive and I have tipped them more than I intended due to their kindness and attentiveness. Would 110% recommend for sushi delivery and the gyoza is awesome. I am yet to try the Chinese food but I don't doubt it's good. I will update my review after visiting the location and trying out some of their Chinese cuisine. If you haven't tried them, I would definitely say you're missing out if you live in the...
