Breakfast and Burgers — Restaurant in Affton

This was a really frustrating experience. There wasn't a single hostess--all of the waitstaff seemed to take turns doing the hostess duties. We waited about 30-40 mins (which was expected), and the first issue we had started here. The waiter who called our name was SO QUIET we couldn't hear him over the noise of the restaurant. After seeing 2 parties who arrived after us get seated, I went up and asked where our name was in line. He said that he called our name several times, and a table would be available shortly. Ok, no problem but he needed to speak up. Way too soft spoken to be calling parties.

He took us to our table and it was still being bussed, check from the previous party sat on it until we got our drinks. The waitress we had was nice, but never came back to see us after she dropped off our food. Our drinks emptied, and my food was terrible. I ordered french toast. It honestly looked like bread covered in a layer of scrambled egg. There was a chunk of onion mixed into the batter, gross. Our bill for a French toast platter and a breakfast skillet came up to $35?!? We dropped $40 and didn't bother waiting another half hour for change. Definitely won't be back, the service we were given...

I had looked forward to going here for awhile. I shouldn't have. Ordered an omelette and it was horrible. Either the grill needed to be cleaned, my suspicion, or they made it with powdered eggs. It was gritty almost as if they added chalk to it. The hash browns were nearly raw. Funny that my girlfriend had hash browns with her plate and they were almost burned. They didn't have an in between.

While we were eating two gentlemen were seated at table close to us. They sat there at least 15 minutes without even being asked what they wanted to drink. They eventually just got up and left.

After finishing our meal, could only eat half of it. We sat there for 20 minutes after our table was cleared waiting on our check. Finally had to ask a different waitress about it. She went and got the original waitress, who plopped the ticket down without a word. I paid and we left. We could have easily left without paying and I would have still felt cheated. Only plus was the guy who brought the coffee refill was friendly.

These little hole in the wall places usually are awesome or terrible. This one was not awesome. Will...

I’m going to say I’m the industry. Went to the old location. It would have been better only bc of server. So tried the new location. Ordered extra crispy bacon it wasn’t. I didn’t ask to be remand I asked to but it in for a bit longer. Guess my server wanted the bacon. Bc after taken back she came out chewing. 2 nd order of bacon less cooked from first order. Second my food was less that Luke warm. I had hungry man. I had cold sausage in biscuit and gravy. Not server fault… that’s steam table. Honestly river city is better eggs come out with steam coming off as well as biscuits and gravy. Timing is key. Just a shame. Not only sat in front so loud from fridge and cook line can’t have a conversation. 4 coffee pots get industrial…. You ate a breakfast place … do industrial restaurant coffee urns. Just saying. 20 cups out of those . Also your staff could be better. Get a uniform . It’s a job don’t look trashy. Try jeans and a logo t shirt. Everyone should look the same . My server looked...
