I called to set up an appointment and was ecstatic that someone actually answered and that I was able to get in for a haircut, partial highlight, and style the next day! (I had called around to several other salons in the previous months and had a hard time even getting a hold of anyone.) You can park right across the street in the Mid America Arms lot, entrance off Gravois. Michelle Menist is hands down the best stylist I have gone to in years! She is a true artist, striving for perfection in all that she does. And Wow! "perfect" was exactly the word I used when she was finished with my hair! She followed my requests and went above and beyond my expectation. I also loved how healthy my hair felt and the tips she gave me to keep my hair healthy. Not only is she an amazing artist, she's also very friendly, down to earth, and accommodating. She was Awesome with my rambunctious 3 year old that had to accompany me to the appointment. When my fiance got home from work he noticed the difference right away. This was not a dramatic color change either. He just kept staring at me and telling me how great I looked. Read moreI had a terrible experience trying to redeem a groupon I purchased here. I had read several rave reviews and thought it would be great.
First, I made an appointment and the next day received a call back saying that Amy had forgotten to write down my name... nbd..
I call back and get a confused co-worker who keeps asking if I want to schedule an appointment, while I try to explain that I already have and just was calling back with my name.
I get another call back from the manager who is finally able to clear it up! Set to go I think.
But unfortunately I get there the day of my appointment to the stylist telling me that I will have to wait at least half an hour to get started, as she is sitting someone else down in the chair to BEGIN their haricut. She says her previous haircut ran long.
Overall- not very professional, couldn't pick up the phone to call and let someone know that they could be waiting up to an hour for a haircut. Not to mention that she kept making excuses. After that terrible service, I don't want her any where...

Trying to cut children’s hair is hard enough, but when said child is unable to behave in an appropriate manner it’s near impossible.
It’s a sign of poor parenting when you have to resort to physical violence in a public place , I am embarrassed for any parent who does this, and sorry for any child on the receiving end. If you can’t parent without physical violence then you really need a long hard look in the mirror.
Of course the stylist shouldn’t refund! If anything, thanks to your poor parenting killls, she should have charged you double for the stress and anxiety.
To the stylist. In future I would refuse service to bratty kids who can’t behave and charge their bratty parents double for the waste of time and stress to yourself
