China Star Restaurant — Restaurant in Agawam

We’ve been going to China Star for the past 20 years and it has always been great. Last time we ordered they said they didn’t offer hot and sour soup and we have an old menu, ok no problem. We picked up food, they gave us NEW menu and hot and sour still on menu. We ordered about 5 more times same thing happened; we order something and they say we have old menu as it’s not offered anymore. Tonight wanted A24 dinner combo, from NEW menu, szechuan chicken and shrimp, women asked to say what it was, not just the number. After I tell her what it is she says no chicken or shrimp? I explain that it is both, she says oh let me check menu and then repeated herself again. Finally got so frustrated said forget it. Food is good but service is now awful. Online menu and paper NEW menu are the same but when you call they have no idea! Sad as I stated we have been customers since “Amy” and her...

I would give this place 10 stars if i could. During the beginning of the pandemic they were closed and i unfortunately had to try other places. It was painful the other food couldn't hold a candle stick to China Star. My husband and I drop over 100 dollars every time because the food quality is that good. We like to get a little of everything. Even the leftovers are amazing the next day. You always know what to expect. I had to come on and write this review because I just had Chinese food for the 2nd time in a month from somewhere other than here ( not by choice but because i work in Springfield and had to) and it was absolutely terrible to the point where i just threw it away. I just want China Star to know they are appreciated . I wish they delivered so i never had to order from another...

They are def 5 star...they get to know their customers nd what they like nd how they like it. This has been by far the best Chinese food restaurant i have eaten at. Im a Person who does NOT like greasy food especially egg rolls. The egg rolls here are made to perfection. There's NEVER any grease on the egg rolls or my hands. Nonetheless if ever u r dissatisfied with ur order they will redo ur order the way u want it. They r very welcoming nd friendly. The prices also r great. U can actually get a full meal "Happy meal" for 5 bucks i.e. pork fried rice, (3) chicken fingers nd spare ribs. The serving is more than enough for 1 person. I will never eat at another Chinese restaurant nd i recommend this place to any...
