The management was simple awful. I requested specifically for a manager, expecting the best service, and instead I got possible the rudest person I have ever met. It was the short female manager, extremely short, kinda large, and with an extremely rude attitude. I asked for my bread cut thin on the bottom, yet she INSISTED that it was cut large. She forced me to embarrassingly explain that my bottom teeth do not function very well, and after a very condescending remark she huffed and she puffed her way to a new loaf of bread and cut it while murmuring to her self and giving me nasty looks. She did NOT ask me what I wanted on my sandwich, she DID not ask me if what she was doing was okay, she DID not use the same method that other management uses, which ultimately made my sandwich taste very poor and as if I had made it at home. After she messed up my order, ruined my day, and embarrassed me in front of a long line, SHE DIDNT EVEN SEPARATE THE RECYCLING OR THE GARBAGE. I mean jesus people. If you are gonna have a recycling bin at least use it. In short, I will be contacting the health inspector due to the incredible unsanitary conditions I observed within the kitchen, dining in area, and the work areas. I will be making a follow up post on my local facebook group to ensure my friends and family do not get scammed for their money at this horrible and...

I love an Italian deli, I’ve tried many of them all over California. It’s really rare to find an Italian deli that’s making their own bread fresh daily. The service is friendly and they work hard, I didn’t see a Nonna but I’m sure there was one at some point. Tip: make sure to grab a number when you walk in, it’s easy to miss the ticket holder.

The store is cramped, even by Italian deli standards, but they have everything you could possibly want. I got an Italian, meatball, and chicken parm sandwich- all on their crispy bread. The Italian cold cut sandwich is in my top three all time. Great vinegar paired with quality meats and cheeses. This was delicious and a standout from others. The meatball sandwich was extremely good. The meatballs didn’t have a ton of filler and were nice and meaty. The sauce (I call it gravy) and Parmesan on top were perfect with their bread. This is probably a top three meatball sub for me, and I’ve had a lot of meatball subs. The chicken parm was good, but not as standout as the other two sandwiches.

I’ll definitely be coming back here. Good Italian groceries and great...

discovered italia from a friend of mine as well as seeing it and googling it and checking out the reviews and comments.

pretty much one of the best delis and sandwich places in the greater LA area, if you dig soft italian rolls. bay cities in santa monica, which i also love, is fantastic, but their fresh baked bread is harder. not a bad thing, but if you are craving a soft roll, italia's is the one to beat

it's usually busy here so i recommend calling your order in and picking it up. i make it a weekly ritual to come here now when i am out in agoura hills on mondays. i have had the italian cold cuts and two different turkey sandwiches (the maple turkey and their standard turkey). i am told their standard turkey is just the stuff they use for catering, but i actually like that one better (i believe the maple turkey is boar's head). that gives you an idea of the quality of the ingredients they use.

a great place. you can see why it's...

I was so disappointed. I used their website and found it very user unfriendly. I only get 30 minutes for lunch. I placed my order at 12:05 I arrived at 12:58 and my order still had not been made. I was told to take a number and if my order was not completed by the time they called my number it would be completed at that time. They called my number, there was at least 6-7 people before me, my order had still not been started. Once my 2 small sandwich order was prepared, I took my them and hurried back to work arriving past the 30 minutes I was allowed for my lunch. I will probably return in the future when I have no time restrictions, but I will probably never go on a lunch break ever again. Their sandwiches are very good but I was extremely frustrated and disappointed with this result. I hope it's important enough to them to make some changes. So they can keep customer's as repeat returning customers not just those that try once and never come back!

4 the food, 3 for the wait This place is a small Italian deli/grocery store where you take a ticket, order when they call your number, and then wait for your sandwiches to be made. They have lots of freshly-sliced meat options but I went with the large cracked pepper turkey with everything except mustard. It was absolutely enormous, almost to the point where the meat couldn't fit in the bread (they really pack it in, a very good value) which gets a little messy but that's ok. The bread is freshly baked in-house which is a nice cherry on top as well. One thing to beware of is that it takes a while for them to make your sandwiches and it gets pretty packed in there. You have no idea where you stand in the line of sandwiches to be made so you have to pay attention to every sandwich they bring out. If you want a quick in and out, call ahead.
