The management was simple awful. I requested specifically for a manager, expecting the best service, and instead I got possible the rudest person I have ever met. It was the short female manager, extremely short, kinda large, and with an extremely rude attitude. I asked for my bread cut thin on the bottom, yet she INSISTED that it was cut large. She forced me to embarrassingly explain that my bottom teeth do not function very well, and after a very condescending remark she huffed and she puffed her way to a new loaf of bread and cut it while murmuring to her self and giving me nasty looks. She did NOT ask me what I wanted on my sandwich, she DID not ask me if what she was doing was okay, she DID not use the same method that other management uses, which ultimately made my sandwich taste very poor and as if I had made it at home. After she messed up my order, ruined my day, and embarrassed me in front of a long line, SHE DIDNT EVEN SEPARATE THE RECYCLING OR THE GARBAGE. I mean jesus people. If you are gonna have a recycling bin at least use it. In short, I will be contacting the health inspector due to the incredible unsanitary conditions I observed within the kitchen, dining in area, and the work areas. I will be making a follow up post on my local facebook group to ensure my friends and family do not get scammed for their money at this horrible and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love an Italian deli, Iāve tried many of them all over California. Itās really rare to find an Italian deli thatās making their own bread fresh daily. The service is friendly and they work hard, I didnāt see a Nonna but Iām sure there was one at some point. Tip: make sure to grab a number when you walk in, itās easy to miss the ticket holder.
The store is cramped, even by Italian deli standards, but they have everything you could possibly want. I got an Italian, meatball, and chicken parm sandwich- all on their crispy bread. The Italian cold cut sandwich is in my top three all time. Great vinegar paired with quality meats and cheeses. This was delicious and a standout from others. The meatball sandwich was extremely good. The meatballs didnāt have a ton of filler and were nice and meaty. The sauce (I call it gravy) and Parmesan on top were perfect with their bread. This is probably a top three meatball sub for me, and Iāve had a lot of meatball subs. The chicken parm was good, but not as standout as the other two sandwiches.
Iāll definitely be coming back here. Good Italian groceries and great...

pretty much one of the best delis and sandwich places in the greater LA area, if you dig soft italian rolls. bay cities in santa monica, which i also love, is fantastic, but their fresh baked bread is harder. not a bad thing, but if you are craving a soft roll, italia's is the one to beat
it's usually busy here so i recommend calling your order in and picking it up. i make it a weekly ritual to come here now when i am out in agoura hills on mondays. i have had the italian cold cuts and two different turkey sandwiches (the maple turkey and their standard turkey). i am told their standard turkey is just the stuff they use for catering, but i actually like that one better (i believe the maple turkey is boar's head). that gives you an idea of the quality of the ingredients they use.
a great place. you can see why it's...
