Maral Cuisine — Restaurant in Agoura Hills

Went here for lunch with my wife today. It was our first time visiting. We ordered the Maral plate for two (I’m unsure of the name exactly, but it gives you three types of rice, and 4 different types of meat. OMG…some of the most tender and flavorful meat and best rice ever. This is just amazing food, its super upscale without even trying to be. No crazy sauces, reductions, no gimmicks…just meat seasoned and cooked perfectly, so tender (chicken was like marshmallowy soft). The rice with the lima beans…just amazing. The lima beans turn to butter in your mouth. With pops of sweetness from the grilled tomatoes and currants in the rice. My wife sat there in silence for the longest time. I didn’t know if she was disappointed or having a food-gasm. Thankfully, It was the latter. Haha. The plate for two was sooo plentiful, we didn’t even make a dent in it. We had enough to bring home for like two more dinners, for sure. We have four kids, and I think this “plate for two” could easily satisfy everyone. Maral Cuisine…five stars! The servers were nice. I have tried this place at least twice before. last time it was about 5 years ago and the other time it was before it changes name to marral cuisine.both times I was impressed with the food specially kabab barg ! so here is the problem , I just saw some one had left a review saying that he was charged twice and scammed! customers have no reason to lie, also other scenarios where the waitress was rude ..etc.. but that double charge just makes me sick and I am afraid to go to this place which I had planed to , so food quality is one thing but stealing from customers is a whole different thing. I wouldn't be going there, ever, even though I know that I can just pay by cash! I am about 34 miles away and I would have drove with friends to this place but its not going to happen!! this is horrible, by the way you'll never know who's credit card they are double charging , A COP MAY BE !! I ordered their food today (10/01/2015) and must say I was impressed. For the price I paid, I had enough food to last me for lunch and dinner. Their food was very nicely flavored and one thing I always judge a restaurant by, their tomatoes. Most restaurants have under-developed, less sweet, and dense green in the middle tomatoes. Not at Maral cuisine. They were actually very nice, red and natural looking tomatoes.

Fair warning, they don't do traditional American-style service. Most of the servers are quiet and less interactive. I've read a few reviews online complaining about it, but honestly if the servers not being obnoxiously in your face with a false can do attitude is the biggest complaint, I think this place...
