What a fun, unique little place this is. When you walk in the front, it's like you walk into the back. In front of you is a small counter with their menu, display of cookies, and register; with the kitchen / cookie-making operation behind it in full view. After you order, you can take your number into the "back" where there is plenty of different styles of seating: big tables, small tables, standard seating or more lounge-like leather chairs. The whole vibe is what I'd imagine a child thinks Edgar Allen Poe's study looks like. It's a tad dark, but very cozy, with a faux fireplace and all. It feels like a place where you're encouraged to stick around after you eat and take a break from everything going on outside the walls.
We ordered a breakfast burrito, a pot pie, and a small collection of cookies.
The breakfast burrito was good for what it was, but it was short on ingredients for my preferences. I love beans in my burritos, and tots are objectively worse than regular potatoes. That said, I know they're a cookie shop first and foremost; so I can understand why these choices were made. It's also worth noting that the item is only nine bucks, a total steal in 2025, so I'm not holding it against them nearly as much as I would be if the burrito were $15.
My wife got the pot pie, which we both thought was tasty. I believe all their pot pies are frozen, which you can order to-go or have heated up to eat in-house. I can't say I'm sure why, but they charge a couple dollars extra to eat on-site. That is not the case, however, with their quiche (another item they have to heat up to serve). Anyway, pot pie was good but didn't blow me away. Surely beats the pants off a Marie Calendar's frozen pie that we all like for some reason.
Onto the star of the show, the cookies:
Simply, they're great. In a world where Crumbl (aka the most disgusting dessert anyone has ever eaten, anywhere) dominates social media feeds, it's lovely to have a place selling real cookies made with care. They're chewy, but not too soft, top dough-to-fillings ratio..really just delightful.
We'll be back to try some other menu items like the quiche and mac..and for some...
Read moreHonestly, when I saw all the 5-star reviews I was skeptical (because no one is that good, right?) and the dark windows from outside looking in, I was hesitant to stop by and check this place out. But I am happy to share that I couldn’t have been more wrong. The man at the front was very pleasant and patient. The food was fantastic. We got a blueberry scone, breakfast burrito, M&M cookies, and an almond milk shaken espresso with caramel.
As a scone connoisseur, I am delighted to have found a place that got it right! Soft and fluffy on the inside, crunchy on the outside, and not too sweet.
The breakfast burrito could easily feed the Hulk or two people and it tasted homemade and delicious, not like it came from the frozen food aisle.
My kiddos loved the cookies (so did I.) They are soft and chewy with a little crunch on the outside.
The shaken espresso was made with skill and the coffee beans are of Italian origin. Delicious.

Read moreI can't eat dairy. As a result I seldom get the opportunity to eat a cookie or pastry, and wish I could. I've tried a variety of non dairy or vegan cookies. Most are just weird and not that good. Just went to cookie Cafe for the first time and they had vegan chocolate cookies, with or without walnuts. I ordered some with walnuts. The gentleman asked if it was my first time visiting and I said it was, so he gave me two of them.... for free. These things are cookie masterpieces. Combining textures, crispy edges and chewy middle. Not overwhelmingly sweet as many are... walnuts appear to be pre glazed or caramelized. Wow! Somebody down here was...
