Hikari Sushi has become my go-to Japanese restaurant for an unparalleled dining experience. From the moment you step in, you're welcomed by a cozy and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for an extraordinary culinary journey.

The sushi at Hikari is a true masterpiece – fresh, flavorful, and expertly crafted. The chefs' dedication to quality ingredients and precision in preparation shine through in every bite. The extensive menu offers a delightful array of traditional and innovative sushi rolls, each bursting with authentic Japanese flavors.

What truly sets Hikari Sushi apart is the impeccable service. The staff is not only friendly and welcoming but also well-versed in guiding you through the menu. Their genuine passion for Japanese cuisine is evident, creating a dining experience that goes beyond just a meal.

The attention to detail is apparent in the presentation of each dish. The vibrant colors and artful arrangement reflect the restaurant's commitment to providing not just a meal, but a visual and culinary delight.

Hikari Sushi is a haven for sushi enthusiasts and those seeking an authentic taste of Japan. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Hikari consistently delivers excellence in both food and service. WARNING: Bait-and-switch practices! The restaurant posts daily specials in its window and at its tables. We dined here on a Wednesday night when the sign read, "Wednesday: All Sushi 20% Off." In fact, that is what brought us in. We ordered all sushi. Our first check had no discount. I pointed this out to our server, but our revised check came back with only about a 10% discount. Our server explained that the special only applies to nigiri sushi, not to the maki rolls we ordered. (In what world does "All Sushi" mean "some sushi"?) I then talked to the manager who declined to make things right for us and instead repeated the policy. This is bad business and sneaky. The owner does not understand that building trust with your patrons pays back dividends in loyalty. You got us for one meal, but you lost the rest of our business. And we live local and dine local every week, and we share our dining recommendations with friends...

Reason for visiting: niece's graduation

Date/time of visit: Wednesday night, ~8:00 PM

Parking: shared with other businesses; free. Easy to find parking

Party size: 11, 5 teenagers

Environment/ambience: small, tight seating. not a good spot for big parties; we had 11 and had to split into 2 tables, not near each other. Largest table fits 6-8. Small bar area too. Clean restroom, in the back.

Service: was great; came around often and friendly. Speaks English.

Food: was good; everything was good. Tried the assorted fish, scallop cut roll, and aloha rolls. Had some Sapporo too 😀. Looks to be Korean owned, FYI.

Cost: didn't pay but estimate about ~$800 with tip

Would I go back...
