Nice little place. Has an elevator. As that’s important to me at the moment. I needed that. So don’t be discouraged if you need one.
Very nice looking. We came in for an early dinner. A friend who is from here recommended it to us on the fly.
Appearance/Ambiance It looks like very nice. Like it would be an amazing night spot go go dancing out. Great looking tables and chairs and island bar display. -Great background music.
Service Waitress is very friendly. Glad my wife speaks Spanish as they are more fluent. It was hard to get a refill on our drinks. When we did they were not with ice so they were warm. Had to ask for a cup of ice.
Covid precautions -no temp checks on way in. Waitress wore a mask when near us, but not other times. The rest of the staff did not all the time and other times wore it over their mouth only, leaving their nose uncovered. Other staff as they came in and started working did not wear masks. Also the kitchen staff were never wearing a mask, the multiple times the doors opened. For an island very strict you’d think they would enforce that more here.
Food Appetizers- fish bites and queso fritas which were both very good fried food. I enjoyed both.
Dinner Sirloin steak. Requested well done. Received medium, super chewy steak. Had to send it back to get it finished. Over all the steak was pretty much horrible. Clearly frozen and not fresh. No seasoning.
Bolognese pasta. This wasn’t horrible. It was solidly OK. The complaint on the food was that the sauce was so very salty. Half as much salt would be perfect. It came with tostones on the side.
Dinner Meals came out 10 minutes apart from each other. Means one of use has to have an extremely cold meal or eat alone. Then when steak was uncooked it was 20 minutes apart. How is this ok and normal? I’m not sure they understand that this takes away from the dinner experience. Why not plan appropriately to bring dishes together ?
Miscellaneous -Bathrooms were out of toilet paper and paper towels. After informing the waitress, nothing happened and never saw anyone go to change these things. -There’s a chirping from a battery operated smoke detector going off in background. -Flies noticeable around the place.
Overall I hope it’s better other times if the day. We went early for dinner around 5pm. The appetizers were fresh. Maybe I had the wrong things. Appetizers and drinks were...
Read moreThis is such a beautiful place to go to. It’s a restaurant, bar, with a VIP lounge. The food is excellent, the surtidos (fried puertorican fritter’s) are delicious, cold beers, great drinks and good prices. The one thing I love the most it’s the beautiful lighted dancing floor, (makes one think of Saturday Night Fever). There’s usually a DJ, sometimes a band. Our favorite days to go are Friday’s and Sunday’s, not crowded, no young kids hanging around. The staff is very friendly. It also has an outside area...
