When I visited there were only two employees working and it was a holiday (Monday). My cashier is listed as Jova Pit. I have to commend the owner on having such a careful and diligent staff. There were several tables and only having two people working, I think the time and service were very good. They kept checking if everything was okay and did their best to accommodate everyone to make them comfortable even though part of the restaurant (the two tables next to the entrance) is quite hot since the air conditioning doesn’t reach that space and two families asked to be moved from there. As soon as tables near the air conditioner became available the waiter diligently moved the people there. The food was AMAZING. We ordered the medium bbq platter and EVERYTHING was delicious. It feeds three people generously. It included meats, as well as mac and cheese, pickled onions and pickles. The kids meal was a good size and price. The water is $3.50 a bottle (the prices isn’t listed on the menu). One bbq platter, one kids meal, and an extra side of amarillos plus tip rang up at $69.29.
Again, I commend the staff because I took my elderly and physically challenged grandmother and the waiter went out of his way to help her stand and be able to exit safely. He is truly a...
Read moreWe visited Pidekeai on a Friday evening. It is located near the entrance of Ramey base in Aguadilla. This area is well known for its culinary and entertainment offers. We were received by a very courteous staff. Everybody was attentive but not intrusive. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and relaxing, the decor is simple yet stylish. Very nice indeed. We ordered a Bellini for my wife and a Macallan Sherry Oak for me, the drinks arrived promptly and prepared correctly. For appetizers we had beef tartare mounted in brioche bread toasts, it was fantastic. This restaurant specializes in what they call Modern BBQ Cousine. It's a BBQ restaurant where you can order a variety of plates not usually served in the traditional version. For example you can have duck confit, deconstructed desserts and more. We where in the mood for bbq so we had the sampler plate. It consisted of five different meats, Mac and cheese, corn bread and salad. It was perfect!!, excellent meat, great taste and excellent flavors. For dessert we ordered the deconstructed version of a key lime pie, it had the perfect balance of sweet and tart, it was beautifully plated and incredible taste. If you love meat or want to try something out the box. Go to Pidekeai, you...

I had high hopes for Pdekeai given all the hype surrounding their smoked meats, but unfortunately, my visit was a letdown.
First off, the service from the young girl who received me was outstanding until the meet tray was served. The meats from this meet sampler "sucks"was dry and lacked flavor. They think that by dipping it on the BBQ sauce will help people to ignore the toughness of the meets. The brisket was over cook, I mean over cook and the ribs were worst though, making them nearly impossible to chew. I was also disappointed by the sides – the mac and cheese hard, and the corn bread dry.
Considering the prices, I expected much better quality of meet. $37 waste of money! I won’t be coming back to Pidekeai, Rico or Zazon that are from the same owner thinking that if this one was bad can imagine tje...
