I've visited this steakhouse previously and never had the bad experience I had today. My husband and I both ordered the shrimp dinner and added 1 piece of flounder to each platter for $7.00 each. Well my husband was eating his fish when he began spitting it into his napkin and I ask what was wrong he said it didn't taste right. So I started to pull mine apart taking the skin off and I could smell that it was rotten. Well at this time the waiter was standing at the table refilling our drinks and she asked was everything okay. I said no the fish is rotten. She comes back with the manager and I tell her the fish is rotten. She said it smells like fish but she offered to cook me a "fresh piece". I didn't want a fresh peice because if we already had two pieces that weren't any good then the rest of it probably wasn't either. She then goes to say I can give u a discount like $2.00. So she charged me $5 for a rotten piece of fish that she took back to the kitchen. A piece of bad fish that I clearly didn't eat. I didn't argue with her but I promise this place will never get another dime of my money. If you can fry me a fresh piece of fish that's still going to cost $7.00 then why can't you just take the $7.00 off my bill and keep your fresh fish? Cost is the same regardless. I will stick with Three Guys if I want a nice hot meal. I'll go to McDonald's before...

The restaurant closed at 10:00... After we began our meal, a waitress asked about the salad bar. I didn't know I had a salad with my dinner because the other waitress never told me. So the second waitress said if I wanted a salad, I better get it now because she was taking up the salad bar! It was 9:15 at that point, so I guess anyone coming in now that wanted a salad would just be SOL. The waitress brought the bill while we still had our dinner. Then, a few minutes later, she came back and asked us if we wanted anything else. So dumb. Finally, yet another staff member began sweeping the floor around us. Perhaps some dust from the floor will land on my plate as seasoning for this dry ass, over cooked steak. Did I mention it was $27 just for the steak dinner? Also, the Moscow mule was not served in a copper mug and had zero alcohol for $8.00. Running a restaurant is not easy, but you are never going to make it like this....
Read moreAt 4:30 we walked in as the restaurant opens for dinner. Katlyn is a delightful representative of the restaurant, is welcoming and most gracious. We will ask for her when we dine again. The salad bar was fresh, the potato soup and beef and vegetable soup were nice and hot. Three entrees were ordered. My ribeye though thin, was nicely seasoned. It is just on the thin side so it’s difficult to declare it’s medium or medium well because you can not see if it’s slightly pink inside. The kitchen must go by cook time. The salmon was delicious as well as the grilled shrimp entree. All in all we had a good dining experience and we look forward to eating at the Roanoke...
