I must update my review from a year ago. I ordered the large Beef Lo Mein and Chicken Fried Rice, and received the small size. Not only that, it was all cold. After Doordash gave me a credit for the wrong size, I took a bite of one of the egg rolls, it has a chemical/ vinegar taste. Of course, I spit it out. What I was able to eat definitely was not the original Bill Hwang's quality. Zero Stars.
I had forgotten about Bill Hwang's for several years. What a mistake I made! I tried the coconut chicken which I had never had before, it is absolutely mind blowing 🤩. It's chock full of white chicken pieces which have been deep fried and then put in a delicious creamy coconut sauce. I also got the beef lo mein, and it is literally the best I have ever had and I've had it all over from Stow to Canton, from Akron to Fairlawn. It was filled with delicious tender beef and it's made with authentic rice noodles. I will never get my Chinese food anywhere...
Read moreI’m so happy that Bill Hwangs is open for business again. I am very picky about my Chinese food and have not been able to find a restaurant that makes it the right way. Every other restaurant that I have been to has very soggy chicken. Not Bill Hwangs- theirs is fried and sauce put freshly on top so you still get the crispyness of the chicken. I asked for vegetable fried rice, and I actually got plenty of vegetables! Most other places will charge you extra and only give you two pieces of broccoli and no other vegetables at all! The only downside is that I have never been able to find anywhere that makes crab meat and cream cheese like Bill Hwangs used to do before they closed. And unfortunately, they’re not the same as they used to be. Hope they go back to the old recipe. But still, all in all, a...
Read moreI was a fan of the buffet cause is was fast and cheap but decent food. But I have to say since they have been takeout only the food is amazing. Everything we order is delicious. I recommend the "Pepper salt San Sein". other dishes I've tried are orange chicken and sweet sour chicken. But best of are are the egg rolls. I've tried just about every Asian restaurant in town but Bill's are the best. Just tried again today and I no longer recommend this place. The original owner passed away and the new owner does not produce the same quality food. The bourbon chicken had maybe 7 small pieces of chicken and the orange chicken just ok. In fact I bet the egg rolls are store bought. It’s a shame...
