El Rincon — Restaurant in Akron

Just ordered food for myself and my family. We arrived 30 mins before close. We spent $27. Got our food home and it all was disgusting and gross and lack of flavor. Called for refund and returned to restaurant with all the food that we ordered. This was done just to let them know that we were not trying to be deceptive. After we received our refund I explained to the person in charge at the time that it seemed as if our food was cooked poorly, because it was close to the close of business. I was told that I should have went to Taco Bell if I wanted good Mexican food late at night. So this is how I was treated as an African American female. Who is spending my money with a business. So I hope all that read this choose another Mexican. And restaurant over this one. It’s time for our people to start spending our dollars with businesses that respect our patronage. Also when was Taco Bell ever real Mexican food. And who tells a customer to do business with...

We've been coming here for probably 20 years, about the time they first opened. It's a huge favorite with our entire family. We have celebrated many big moments here- promotions, anniversaries (my in laws were married on Cinco de Mayo, so clearly Rincon is the best choice), countless birthdays... it's been a go-to whenever we needed to destress or cheer up, and is a place that, when no one can decide what they're in the mood for, everyone will always agree on.

The service has always been great- the staff are friendly and courteous, there when you need anything but never annoyingly on top of you. The manager always takes time to stop and check on our family and chat with the kids. To go orders are always ready by the time we get there to pick it up.

The food is always perfectly cooked- how you can so consistently make perfect shrimp is beyond me, but everything we've ever had in all these years is always top notch.

I've been here plenty of times and I think there was only one time that my order was incorrect or didn't taste great. So I'll definitely say the food is pretty fantastic at this place. My most recent visit was yesterday and I was there as a party of 6, all adults. Every one of loved our meals, every last piece of the other tasted phenomenal and we bought a tower of margaritas and that this has enough alcohol in it that all 6 of us had two very delicious glasses. 5 stars all the way. My only tiff was the waiter first he forgot to put my father in laws order in with the rest of ours so his plate came out about 5-10 minutes after we all began eating. No apologies or anything, heck the waiter never even told us he was coming back with my fils plate until I saw him a few minutes later and asked him what happened. Besides...
