Ju Yuan Kitchen — Restaurant in Akron

I have ordered from ju yuan on multiple occasions. This was my fifth order. The first order was the general Tsos. It was soggy and honestly just not great. Since then, I decided to give them another shot. I ordered the curry chicken and the wonton soup. The curry chicken was fantastic and was a very good portion for the price. The soup was delicious amd contained many wontons. I was please. I ordered a couple more times amd was always satisfied.

I ordered the bourbon chicken and soup tonight. The soup was fantastic as usual but the chicken seemed very haphazardly thrown together. The sauce was very thin, the broccoli was underdone(almost raw) and the chicken was just... chicken on top of sauce. I am going to literally have to bake and baste it to make it as it should be.

I ordered a larger size of the bourbon chicken and what I received was absolutely not any bigger than the regular portion. I paid extra money for a larger portion as my kids want some too and love bourbon chicken. I also paid $2 extra for fried rice.

When we called the store to question why I didn’t receive the large portion that I paid an extra six dollars for, they asked me the shape of the container. I told them it was a rectangle and she said that was the large. Now, if a 6x3 plastic container for $13 is a large, what is regular?

She gave me the run around about chefs specials and how that’s a circular container. But the circular container would literally have to be next to no chicken with rice for $9. None of it made any sense.

As a person who owns their own business, I felt they handled this very unprofessionally. Instead of offering me a discount on future orders, they lost a customer over $6.

All in all, I have enjoyed SOME of their food in the past but I will not be ordering again as a matter of principle. I paid $26 for one egg roll, soup and a meager portion of food that I have to re cook...

Been ordering from here for years but after tonight. I will never order from this place again. I work hard for my money so I treat my family to take out. I always order chicken lo mein with steam riced you get the picture. Well I placed my order like usual with someone who was rude for one, kept telling her my order she kept on erupting me. It took almost 15 minutes to place my order. Long story short my order turned out totally gross, cold and no taste. My chicken lo mein was nothing but mushrooms no chicken in neither of them, got fried rice instead of steamed rice. I called to complain but got hung up on so I called back an went off on the guy who hung up on me. He told me that he could give me a raincheck told him. I wanted the food that I order boy they waste no time taking my money off but they can't apologize for hanging up. Ill never give them my business again. I dont know who's running it now but they are not good like they used to be and if I had a problem they would send me another order for their mistakes. The only good part of this place is the delivery guy he seems sweet and very nice. I wish i didnt give them a one star cuz they don't deserve. The quality has gone down the last few months but tonight it was the final straw. All i know my stomach is quesy after eating the eggroll ughhh. No stars...

We've ordered from here twice for lunch, while at work. Both times it took over an hour to get it, this time it was at least 80 mins. Got the food, there were pancakes missing, which was supposed to come with the moo shu chicken. When we called about it, they said they were out of pancakes, so they replaced it with another white rice. You would think they would call to let you know they were out of something that you ordered, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. They offered a store credit but we didn't want that since we don't plan on ordering from there again. We asked for a refund instead which they would not do. A bit later they called back and said the delivery guy was bringing back $10 for us and asked if we would order from them again.
