I came back to Alameda after 18 years and was surprised to see this shop still here. I came everyday before school for sunflower seeds and donuts. I am 35 and back then, I was 14-17. They weren’t super duper friendly growing up and well that has not changed. At least they’re consistent.
They were not mean or rude but it wasn’t a hi how are you with a smile. I wasn’t getting warm service. Just basic. I felt like I needed to hurry and order.

The owner was so nice and there was a good selection of donuts and the biggest croissants I've ever seen in a donut shop, they looked so good, I will definitely get them for breakfast next time.
