Everywhere they have it posted that they are open until 9pm. I stood in line at 750 while the operator continued her conversation with the previous customer. I'm parient. But once I got to the window she just walked off without saying anything. I'm patient, she has a business to run. As I start to tell her my order she rudely yelled at me "we're closed, we closed at 8. It's literally 8:06 as I'm writing this. I have never eaten at this place and I don't ever plan on going back. If she hadnt stood there carrying on while I was waiting in line she could have taken my order. All I wanted was an appetizer. Simple. But instead she shoved me off. I have lived all over the country and in many parts of the bay area I can say without reservation that the Orchid Pavillion is the best Chinese food in California and probably the country. One of the many secrets Alameda has to offer. Delivery ot take out only but you won't forget this gem that outshines them all. We over order so we have lots of leftovers.
