There is always a lot of goose poop on the grassy lawn and the stagnant pond a ways up the walkway always smells terrible enough we hold our breaths and speed up for that 200meter stretch.. lovely otherwise! Picnic tables, Sandy Beach with shallow and typically relativity calm water. There's also a nice community beach toy chest- bring an item to donate or borrow and return. You'll see lots of kite surfers. There's a place to rent stuff near crown memorial (can walk there along shoreline, but that's where that's at). Not a lot of parking here. There are benches. A really large park with BBQ areas, Bayside trails and great views. Visitors center is open and full of great displays and local history. Pretty much all of the bathrooms are closed minus ine port a potty in the parking lot. Lots of signs saying no this and no that, kinda discouraging. But a vast park with nice views and flat trails.
