It was the 6th Annual Blues, Brew & BBQ event at Washington Park yesterday afternoon. Park was crowded with large groups of people with their families, pets on leashes and more than enough of vendors (food, ales, crafts). I masked up and stayed to watch the blues bands performed. Quite enjoyable and entertaining. Of cpurse, I was hand clapping and feet tapping to them down home blues. The weather was nice on a Sunday afternoon and people were enjoying themselves. I stopped at one of the vendors who was selling bean pies and German chocolate cake shooters. The shooter was a little tube of "henny". Y'all know what that means...Hennessey...hey! I already had lunch at Rang Dong, which is a few blocks west of Washington Park.

This is our go to spot for tennis! The courts are well maintained and the weather always seems to be nice here. Sometimes the courts are full during popular hours so you have to wait a bit. There's a system where you set your arrival time but nobody really uses it, so usually we just end up asking people when they'll be done. Recently they've started becoming more strict on not allowing pickleball which I personally don't mind as a tennis player

I came here for the blues, Brews & BBQ events and enjoyed the park. It's large, has restrooms, a large basketball court as well as baseball field. There are plenty of trees for shade and the grass is pretty clean except for the goose poop from the geese hanging around in the park. But it is nice to be at and near the beach. There is street parking and another parking lot walking distance from the park

I flew my Phantom 3 Professional for the first time on the empty baseball field. I continued fly there for the 6 months I lived nearby. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of curious people who would cautiously approach me. I answer their many questions best I could, remember, I was a beginner. Most just wanted to see the bird's eye view on my tablet, and I made many friends, I didn't fly near any people on the ground. And sometimes I quit flying because some people needed to use my landing area for soccer practice. I don't recommend this park for drone racers too many people. But I got some great sunrise and sunset pictures ...
