A hidden local gem and a must visit ice cream in Alamosa! The ice cream is absolutely delicious. It is intoxicating to watch them roll the ice cream and make it. Each one is art as well as an amazing snack.

The owners and staff are delightful and wonderful people who love what they do and they do it so well. You just want to spend more time with them, hear their stories as you eat their delicious treats. (And I'm not one that normally wants to talk to strangers!)

My family stopped every night we were in town visiting Great Sand Dunes National Park. The owners (family owned) of the shop spent extra time giving us tips for the park before we went and our favorite spots it in the park ended up being recommendations from them rather than the park rangers.

They also shared some really fascinating stories of the area and restaurant recommendations. When we returned to the shop they immediately recognized us, smiled and excitedly asked how are day was and what we thought of the park. It was like seeing friends after a long day.

My brother's fiancé isn't one for eating dessert (especially right after dinner) but was the one who insisted said we must ask for doggie bags at our dinner place so we had time to get to frosty acres before they closed.

If you only have time to grab one thing in Alamosa - Frosty Acres must be it!!

Best spot we found in our entire week trip...

This is definitely the best place for any kind of dessert in the San Luis valley area. Me and my wife purchased one of these with strawberry and Nutella and the other was with Andies mints. this is some of the best ice cream I've ever had in my llife. I should not even call it ice cream because it is better than ice cream. You place your order and then you can watch them make it in front of you. It is so cool to watch him go through the steps on creating it. The establishment is clean and employees are well-knowledged and friendly. Prices are comparable with other places in Alamosa. I highly highly recommend...

We are visiting Alamosa for the week, and I can’t resist trying a local ice cream place when we travel. We loved this place! I’ve never had rolled ice cream before, and it was absolutely delicious. So many creative flavors, and it tastes top notch. More importantly, the owner was so friendly and kind. My son asked for lemon ice cream, and even though it wasn’t on the menu, he came up with a custom creation. I really enjoyed hearing a little bit about the owner’s story. Great ice cream place, great company. Highly recommend checking out if you’re...

We loved finding this little family owned and run rolled ice cream shop on a grocery trip to Alamosa. Tiny little place, brightly lit, simply but perfectly decorated. The flavors were divinely delicious, fresh and authentic. Watching them make your treat with real and fresh ingredients is half the fun! The owners run the place with their kids and it's just so genuine. They are all so sincerely happy and excited to be there. You have to go try it! There will likely be a bit of a line now that it's summer, but it's worth the wait!
