Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Alamosa

We were grocery shopping and decided Sonic sounded good for dinner. First, we waited at the drive thru menu board for 15 minutes before anyone said anything. There were several cars behind us that left, rather than waiting. Then when my order was repeated to me at the window, now 30 minutes into this trip, it was not correct, so I corrected her and she said "I know. That's what I said." Go figure that when the food came, it was wrong, like I said. From the time we pulled up until they gave us the second half of our order it had been 45 minutes. Because it was incorrect, and the first half of our order had already been sitting in the car for 10 or 15 minutes, I asked for the whole order to be remade. The manager, James, said "I can only remake what was messed up" so I explained to him that by the time they remade what was wrong, the first part of our order would be super old, and cold. He basically told me I was SOL. I eventually had to say that I either needed ALL of the food remade, or that I needed my money refunded. E argued with me for 10 minutes and eventually agreed to remake our food, but was the rudest person I have ever spoken to. Another 15 minutes later we got our food. Ok, here it goes. This Sonic drive thru was really busy. We ordered on the app. The app said order would be ready at 3:58 pm. I checked in to stall 1 a little after 4. 20 minutes went by. I called the Sonic phone number. The guy who answered put me on hold for a minute. Then when he came back, I told him I had been waiting and he told me there was only one cook so it was taking long but it would be out soon. This was the order: Cheese Tots Med, Cherry Limeade Med, Garlic Butter Bacon Cheeseburger, Mozzarella Sticks Med (6pc), Soft Pretzel Twist, SuperSONIC® Double Cheeseburger. When the carhop finally came out we were almost at the 30 minute mark. Here’s what we received: Jalapeño poppers, a breakfast burrito, SuperSONIC® Double Cheeseburger with jalapeños*, a chicken sandwich, mozzarella sticks that did or did not have cheese. The pretzel twist was missing. So, we flagged her down and gave back the poppers and burrito and asked for the pretzel twist. She took the receipt and items and went back in. More then half their order stalls don't work, there's a consistent problem with their Sonic Blast machine being broken and their staff are never friendly. Oh and their wait times are as bad as the other reviews say. You'll likely get your food cold, after others who showed up after you did, or not at all (most likely).

If you want Sonic badly enough, make the trip to the Monte Vista one. Working equipment, food is good, place looks cared for and maintained, and the staff are far better.

And given all the other negative reviews, I bet I'll get some copy-paste reply from whatever management supposedly runs this gross Sonic.

Don't support this Sonic. Not worth it. You are forgettable to them, so forget about going here and eat somewhere else.

*As a side note, their tall sign was recently half torn off it's stand. Showing just how poorly maintained this place is. Expecting it to fall on someone from a light breeze...
