Maybe it was just a really bad night. My husband and I went for dinner on a Sunday evening. One of the waiters sat us down as soon as we came in. We ordered two sushi rolls and a crab appetizer. It took the staff an hour to get our meal to us. During the hour wait, the server failed to refill our drinks or check on us. We were unable to get the waiters attention to get refills once the food was served as well. There were only two other parties in the restaurant. The sushi rolls were good which is what the 1 star is for. The price of the menu is way too high though, especially for the lack of service that is given. At the end of the evening, we did ask what was taking so long and they did say there was a chef who just quit recently. I can understand slowness due to being short staffed for chefs to prepare meals, but when there is two waiters for 3 parties we would have expected to have better service to make up...

Oh where shall I start... first, the waitress refused to speak loud enough for me to hear. Next, there was lipstick on my lemonade glass and she didn't even offer to replace my drink-yuk. Then there was the issue of the waitress not knowing her menu- she had to keep going back and forth to ask questions about the menu- it was never a there and back deal. Finally, my son, who was taking me out for my birthday, counted out the cash and I double checked it and we got ready to go. The waitress comes back accusing us of short changing her. She argued it with me until I finally decided to replace the 20 that she said was never there and we were leaving. On our way out she came up and said, oh, I found it...bla bla bla... How sad. We ordered the sushi boat dinner for two. The sashimi was served drowning in ice water, which is totally unnecessary, as Japanese sushi chefs place their sashimi on the counter to warm it to room temperature, in order to enhance the flavor just before serving. The sushi rice was the sweetest we've ever had, they used far too much sugar, distracting from, rather than enhancing the fish. They use excellent Japanese koshi hikari rice. Unfortunately it was crushed into a very hard ball under the nigiri, making it unpalatable. Also, there was no wasabi between the rice and fish forcing us to disassemble each piece of nigiri, insert some wasabi and reassemble it. They barely gave us enough wasabi, imitation of course, to...
