Avoid eating here! Doordash will be quicker and better quality! The food and service in the Ptarmigan Lounge were just awful. We ate at the restaurant the first night we arrived in Anchorage. We'd been tired after traveling all day. It took 40 minutes for my husband's cocktail to arrive after he ordered it. It took over an hour and 15 minutes for our food to arrive. I ordered the "stew" in the picture with a grilled cheese. It was more of a vegetable soup that tasted burnt, and the grilled cheese was toasted on only one side. Ptamarmigan Restaurant, in the Sheraton, Anchorage, Alaska. If I could give the service a zero review I would. The server was terrible! She disappeared more often than we saw her. We had to ask constantly for everything. We waited for the bill for at least a half hour. The food was barely warm, mostly room temperature, for as long as it took for it finally to come out. Oof! I wish I could say good things, but it's hard to find any. The day we went it was extremely understaffed, a new chef, and service was slooow.
