We called and made a reservation for 18 at the 907 Alehouse. I had been here once before and I was really excited to show all of my co-workers how great this place was. We arrived 20 minutes early and they had reserved the back room for us and it was such a wonderful space. We were greeted by our server, Brandon, and he had such a great attitude and sense of humor, and even though I had some special requests he was eager to help. After we were here about 10 minutes, Brandon brought the owners over to meet me and everyone wanted to ensure us that they were there to help. Needless to say, the customer service was beyond my expectations, and that alone will cause me to book here for every event that I have.
Now for the food and drinks, they were equal to the service and amazing!! The raspberry and unicorn martinis were fantastic. My drink never sat empty for more than 5 minutes before I was asked if I wanted another one. The beer selection was huge, a lot of beers on draft. We ordered pretty much every appetizer on the menu and some of our favorite were: the nachos (huge portions with lots of goodies on them), a couple pounds of wings (the wing flavor of the month was so good that we ordered more, and the wings had so much meet on them and were incredibly juicy), the buffalo chicken cheese dip (this was a dish that Brandon recommended and it was such a pleasant surprise), the cheese curds (we just wished the dipping sauce was less chunky, but the curds themselves were great), and the Mac and Cheese. A couple of my friends ordered some burgers and the Tai Wrap and they were impressed by how good the food was. We also ordered all three deserts that were on the menu and by far, the best one was the Crownie (cookie mixed with brownie). This was so delicious and warm and gooey with ice cream on top. I can't wait to go back again just for drinks and desert! I LOVED the atmosphere with tons of TV's, dart board, pool tables, and a live saxophonist who was performing polpular hits in a jazz style. I can't wait to tell all of my friends about the spectacular service and yummy food and we will definitely be back!! Thanks again Brandon and crew for making this such a...
Read moreI am not a tourist, I do live in anchorage. First of all, service is extremely slow and unbothered. I can completely understand if it’s busy and chaotic and the staff is doing what the can due to volume and demand, but we waited at least 10 minutes at the bar to be acknowledged (after making eye contact with multiple staff members) and then the bartender walked away after getting our drink order before we could even ask for a food menu. At the very least a “hello, I’ll be over in a moment” in those first 10 minutes of awkward random eye contact would have been nice. That resulted in us having to ask a barback for a menu, which felt rude enough in the first place because that’s not his responsibility. Fast forward 20 minutes, we finally were asked for our food order. To be crystal clear, my boyfriend got a double shovel and I got a house tequila and cranberry. We shared with cheese curds, then he got birria tacos and I got a halibut sandwich. Nothing we consumed tasted right but not necessarily wrong either so we boxed up our food and left. After about 2 or 3 hours of leaving the restaurant, we both got extremely ill out of no where and (sorry to be vulgar) both of us vomited so intensely that we considered seeking medical help. The nausea subsided within about an hour, thank god because it was a nearly debilitating sickness. And of course, now we’re dealing with more lower digestive system issues after finally feeling better from nausea. I won’t blame the sickness on this restaurant because who knows if that’s the cause, but at the very least be weary of the lack of urgency from the bartending staff. I would not recommend, simply because the staff seemed like they could not be bothered to acknowledge, serve, or even treat us like guests/patrons, but also the possibility that you could get sick. I had been warned by friends and acquaintances that they have had the same experiences but I decided to give 907 the benefit of the doubt. I will say that I do regret that now. Be careful...
Read moreI was thoroughly impressed by 907 Ale House, a hidden gem in Anchorage that offers a fantastic mix of great food, a lively atmosphere, and a solid beer scene at night. The restaurant stands out with its variety of menu options and daily specials, keeping things exciting, but what truly blew me away was the cheeseburger—easily the best I’ve had in Alaska. After years of searching for a great burger spot, with Red Robin being my only decent option, 907 Ale House finally delivered with a hometown, made-with-care feel that’s hard to find. The beer selection is another highlight, boasting a large variety of taps, which is rare in Anchorage, especially since most breweries close at 9 PM due to local laws. Thankfully, 907 Ale House stays open until 11 PM on weekends, making it a perfect late-night option. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, whether you’re there for a casual dinner or hanging out at the bar, and the friendly, helpful staff adds to the welcoming experience. Overall, 907 Ale House is a must-visit, offering a great meal, a fantastic beer selection, and a rare late-night hangout spot. The cheeseburger alone is worth the trip, and the overall experience makes it one of my new favorite places in the city....
