So happy to have this place in Anchorage! Admittedly I never tried the other ramen places in town because in all of their photos the ramen eggs aren't runny. I need my ramen eggs to be gooey on the inside haha. This place has the best ramen eggs! They marinate them in a sauce that is so flavorful, salty and delicious. Do yourself a favor and order an extra egg for your ramen. The flavor of the broth is incredible, full of depth and savory goodness. I really shouldn't be writing this review when I'm this hungry. The noodles I'm pretty sure are homemade and are a perfect chewy consistency. I got the vegetarian ramen and the tofu and mushrooms are delicious too. The tofu has a perfectly thin crispy outside. The food is amazing. My husband has tried a few of their meat ramens, I think tantan and tonkatsu, and has loved them as well. The food is perfect.

The service is good and prompt! Both times I've been there it's been super busy but the staff is very efficient at getting folks seated and taken care of. It is pretty small in here, resembles a traditional ramen shop with much of the seating being stools wrapping around the kitchen, and the seats are pretty cozy and close together. They have some tables, but I think try to only give them to parties larger than 2. What I'm about to say is probably sacrilegious to true ramen lovers, but I hate the sound of slurping. I know traditionally you slurp ramen but it fills me with rage and stress to hear people slurping lol. So keep that in mind if you have sound sensitivities and get sat next to a loud slurper at the counter seating. I had the great fortune to sit next to someone who enjoyed a very loud meal--but hey, I guess that is another testament to their great food-- you wouldn't slurp anything that isn't delicious. If you're going in a group of 2 or alone, you likely will get sat at the counter. So maybe bring some headphones if you don't want to hear people eating haha.

Definitely give this place a try if you're craving a delicious hot meal! They have other non-ramen things on the menu too like rice and katsu curry. I'd love to try those or some of their...

[Edit] After talking with them, they offered me a gift card which is nice and explained to me that the server is new. I may change this lower review to a higher review if I go back.

Came back again and everything about the food is good, but some of the servers will make you feel rushed to leave. I entered the building at 545pm and by 605pm they gave me my check and asked if I needed a to go box and was acting in a way that was pressuring me to leave as if I did something wrong. It made me feel fairly dismissed like I was taking up someone else's chair and had been taking up too much time, even though I was only eating my food for 10min max. Though the food is good here, keep in mind that this is not the right place to sit down for a while and enjoy your time. The first time I came in, I did not feel this way at all. Hopefully it was just a problem with the one server, which is what I'm assuming since it happened to me once so far out of my two visits. I removed my highly recommended 5 rating because of this and I probably will elect to not come back unless I'm with a group only unfortunately. I personally hate being rushed and generally believe everyone feels the same.

[Previous review] The cutest newish place in town. From start to finish is a genuinely relaxing experience. It feels like a taste of the real thing, both environment and tongue wise, yum. The ramen is good and comes to the table promptly. The menu is focused and simple. The decor makes you feel like you took a flight out of town. It really is delightful here.

Definitely try the deep fried pork belly appetizer, the sauce it comes with compliments it well. The spicy tonkotsu ramen is great, I finished it all. It was easy to find a seat fast, no...

This was my first visit and I ordered take out. I had one pork charsu sandwich and regular tonkatsu Ramen with the spicy sauce on the side and added green onions. I called on the phone and was told my order would be done in 20 minutes. When I walked in a nice young man caught my eye as I walked in, I indicated a phone order, he asked for my name, and had my order immediately. The restaurant was packed and more people were coming in while I paid for my food. The first thing I noticed when I got home was how perfectly everything was packaged, there were even instructions on the package of chopsticks and broth spoon. The broth was on the bottom and a bowl sat on top with the ingredients separate. I mixed everything together adding the spicy sauce a little at a time until it was to my liking. I used more than half the container they had given me and it was plenty warm so I'm glad I had ordered the regular with the spicy sauce on the side. The portions were perfect, two nice slices of pork and plenty of ramen noodles. The broth was rich with a delicious flavor. I also highly recommend getting the pork charsu from the appetizer menu. It was on a bao bun fluffy as a cloud. The pork was smokey flavored, melt in your mouth, with a lovely Korean barbecue sauce and fresh slivered vegetables. Definitely a place I would return to...

Tried the Spicy Miso, Spicy Tonkotsu and Kuromayu Ramen. While miso ramen is my favorite in general and the hardest to please me with, I ordered anyway. The miso ramen here is chicken broth base and comes this chicken instead of chashu topping. I appreciate the interesting take, but the chicken broth isn’t very flavorful and lacks the right umomi punch that I desire in my miso soup. I’m also convinced that I didn’t get a spicy bowl, but a normal one instead. That said, the tonkotsu was on point! Full of the right flavors rounded out by a wonderful oily feel left in your mouth. The broth consistency was perfect. Same for the Kiromayu. Black garlic is a very unique flavor that can over power the flavor of the broth and ruin an otherwise delicious bowl. I ordered chicken katsu, but they were out so we went with gyoza. This was packed with a beautiful presentation and the right amount of spices. Ask for Japanese pepper to add. Their house gyoza sauce was very nice with the added minced ginger. Since they were out of the katsu they gave us mochiko chicken which was very spot on. While the chashu was much thinner than I prefer, the others at my table seemed to like it non the less. I have been to all of the ramen spots in Anchorage and Girdwood and this is by far the best public ramen house that you can go to!
