We are on the road a lot as musicians and always like to have solid places to get food at various locations between point A and point B (see what I did there?). Drive thru service is preferable for ease sake and sadly now for safety reasons with the pandemic. Fast food gets tiring rather quickly. Coming back last night, we popped off the I-5 to grab some Mexican food in Albany and noticed A B Chinese with a drive thru. Figured it couldn't be worse than the Mc Chinese food at Panda Express, so we gave it a try. From the outside, this place doesn't look like much, but it is my experience that some of the divey looking places have some of the greatest food offerings.
Greeted at the drive up window by a lovely lass who was so friendly and awesome. Took our order with ease. Menu offerings were the usual Chinese - American suspects, but that is okay. Prices were great. We pulled around to wait for them to bring it out in the parking area. Chatted with another beautiful Irish lass who was doing deliveries. We even troubleshooted her faulty headlamp in her car. Got our order and headed off to complete the trek home.
Arrived home after 40 minutes, unloaded the gear and finally sat down to enjoy the meal. Still pretty warm after the drive. Great portions sizes. Easily some of the best shrimp friend rice and shrimp lo mien that we have ever had. So fresh and flavourful. Nothing was bland at all. We are sad because they are a 40 minute drive from our current home, but over the moon that we now have a great Chinses place within our travel...

We had ordered from them before and had good food however that was not the case this tiime! We had the food delivered doordash and the food was cold which was not possibly the restaurants fault but the food was absolutely terrible in fact the worst Chinese food or the worst meal I can remember having. I had ordered the combination plate number 5 the Kung Pao chicken was neither Kung Pao knorr chicken it had no spice whatsoever and had no chicken whatsoever! It was not spicy, it was in a very thin black sauce and it was nothing more than chunks of zucchini chunks of celery and peanuts that was it! I was taken back when I realized the other portion of my meal was barbecued pork, it resembled sliced carrots and tasted terrible. I had purchased three meals to be delivered at work and believe me this was the worst $65 I have ever spent the food was horrible. There is nothing worse than being hungry and getting a bad meal, this cold food was not only unappealing to look at it tasted terribly. No...
