China Garden — Restaurant in Albany

After recently moving to Albany my husband and I are trying out some of the local restaurants to find our new favorites. China Garden ranks up there on the top of our list. Even though we got there just minutes before closing time, I don't think things could have gone any better. The lady who took our order was very nice and even reopened her register to be able to accept our debit card because we didn't have cash. Maybe I was expecting the worst at that late arrival but was very pleased to discover that the food was excellent! So, we will definitely be returning because they received very high marks in hospitality and the food was plentiful, inexpensive and delicious. Thanks China Garden- we will see...

Hair in food twice!!!! This is the second occasion on which we have found hair in our food. The first time I took my mom there for lunch and there was hair cooked into her fried chicken wings! They argued us down that she had put it there! Me giving them the benefit of the doubt that this was some kind of weird occurance by the supplier of their wings. I went back tonight for dinner and order 2 egg rolls (for my daughter and I) LONG BLACK HAIR INSIDE THE EGGROLLS , BOTH OF THEM!!!) I enjoyed the General Tso Chicken combo, the Chicken sticks, the Sweet and Sour Chicken combo, the Teriyaki Beef and the Pu Pu platter. I argued with the lady about the size and she proved me wrong with a smile which is a great customer service apporach! You might feel a little short changed as the prices went up $0.50 but she was on spot and didn't cheat me. I do wish they would give you a receipt but, I feel she can be trusted not to cheat you!
